My only fancies at Galway today: 7:20 - Lilys Prince 20/1 & Top Notch Tonto 12/1 both ew and reverse forecast add a couple more to that: 7:50 - Straight of Zanzibar 16/1 ew 8:20 - Grey Sky Blue 10/1 Win
Morning, troops. The Goodwood Executive have been aggressively lobbying for several terms now to get the ‘Lennox Stakes’ upgraded to Group 1 status. However, they will need a spin doctor of ‘New’ Labour proportions to get anyone to take this year’s renewal seriously. Woefully, woefully, woefully weak contest. Just one recommendation from me today and I apologise for it not being particularly original but it’s WAR DECREE (2.35 Gooders). I would have expected War Decree to turn the tables on his Newmarket conqueror, Boynton, on the same terms as earlier in the month but in receipt of 3 pounds I can see it being achieved even easier. The rest of the field look some way below Group 2 class and I really, really can’t see beyond a triumph for Mr O’Brien’s charge. Good luck, pilgrims.
Ron, is this colts/geldings only??? On Racing Post Ratings Lady Aurelia is rated miles ahead of the rest of the 2YO’s. Plus, as Doalittle states where is Fair Eva??? Our sports next superstar.
My Galway bet today is Penhill. Burst a blood vessel last time. If he's over come that and it doesn't happen again he'll win. 11/2 is fair enough in race the yard won last year with Long Dog.
Sorry, obviously not bang up to date. Timeform's rating of Fair Eva RATINGS UPDATE: FRANKEL'S FIRST GROUP WINNER LOOKS A STAR IN THE MAKING please log in to view this image "With the feature race on the card a little underwhelming, the most exciting performance on the day arguably came from Fair Eva in the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes. Fair Eva, the first of Frankel’s offspring to run wearing the Juddmonte silks, also provided her sire with his first group-level winner, and she looked a star in the making on Saturday, following up her maiden win in most taking fashion. She is now Timeform rated 113p from 100P, and is likely to take all the beating wherever she goes, with the Moyglare Stud – over an extra furlong which she should relish – perhaps the best option for another step up in grade. If she did take that option, there is the potential that Fair Eva might come up against Aidan O’Brien’s Promise To Be True, a sister to Maybe who won the race herself in 2008. Promise To Be True also scored in Group 3 company last week, winning the Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown, and she is now rated 103P (from 93P).

Thanks guys. Hes very well and took the last race without any issues. 7lb rise a bit steep but not a killer as Graham takes off 3lbs and he is highly rated by the yard. Personally i dont really see that yet but have to trust them and the 3lbs off is handy. I wouldnt read too much into Sam riding his Dads horse as that would have been the case come what may. He will love the Worcester hurdles - he just doesnt respect the movable hurdles but seems to love jumping these.... hopefully thats not a jinx! I am concerned about the ground - ideally would want it softer. He doesnt quicken and other will do off this. He will be ridden positively and might even make it. Need to make this a test. Solid ew claim at the price.
US raider Lady Aurelia produced what is, on the face of it and taken very conservatively, as good a performance by a two-year-old filly in Timeform's long experience in the Queen Mary Stakes on Wednesday, running to a rating of 127 (previously rated 101p) in winning by seven lengths. Lady Aurelia gave an awesome display of speed and power, having the rest beaten soon after halfway, and she recorded a ridiculously fast time (1m 00.14) on the good to soft ground. She isn't quite so obviously much more mature than her rivals, in the way the same yard’s Acapulco was when winning the Queen Mary in 2015, but she is a strong sprint type and will obviously be very hard to beat wherever she goes, including against colts and older sprinters (though the Nunthorpe is reportedly unlikely). Al Johrah beat the rest comprehensively and remains on a rating of 100p.
Good luck with Harristown Don. I didn't avail myself of the 11/1 lot and he won so I won't burden him again today. Clearly the weight of my fiver is a bridge too far
Arthur McBride, Harristown, Hold Court & Westend Prince are the four i was looking at in this race. I thought being unable to decide between the 4 to just leave the race alone altogether but instead i've decided to just go with the forum and chuck a fiver on Harristown. Best of luck hope he comes back safe and sound
Interesting you left out Charlie Breekie smokey. I think I would have had that one and Harry in a reverse forecast
Gun to my head out of the 4 i said I'd probably have Harristown and Westend Prince as the two for the forecast
