It is high time we started this and discussed about this guys contribution.

What exactly he contributes other than including a 'Mikel' clause in every manager's contract may be?

If Jose can be dumped like that - why cannot Mike & his home boy Mikel pack their bags??

Because he's a trusted Roman friend I'd imagine.

Seriously want to understand his day to day work and significant contribution to the club. Anyone care to point out if you know?

Is it him who finds all players to put in the youth sides? If it is, he's a genius.

Oh ok, so he is responsible for all the youth sides scouting & recruiting. Nothing for first team then??

Why does he include Mikel clause in every manager's contract just like Torres clause few years ago?

I asked if he is. Is he?

Whoever it is deserves some credit, they win almost everything every season.

Not sure who does youth sides. But credit to them for their exploits.

Wish those scouts get promoted and become First team recruiters.

Part of his remit is to report any unrest or problems directly to Roman, clearly he was a busy man last season. Some call him a snitch but for me a trouble shooter, not my favourite but clearly satisfies his employer.

    Ok.

Michael emelano is a ex professional footballer.

He origianlly signed as a chief scout-meaning he was in charge of all scouting activities, and liasing with managers in terms of choosing which players to target.

When wilkins got sacked he was promoted to technical director-and as such i gather his role became more and more directorial-i.e. he was reaponsible for deciding systems of play and impriniting a footballing culture about the club, as well as finding players and managers to fit into said culture.

He also oversees footballing activities clubwide: the loan army we have, the under 21, 23, 17, 18 (yada yada), the pre season arangements, overseeing the training and squad progression-he's incharge of all of that and maybe even more.

Its easy to point out the bad players and decisions he might have made, but the fact that hazard, costa, conte (and everyone else) is at cfc is down to him and he does a very important and good job.

I have no idea why youd want to savk someone instrumental in getting our club where it is today.

All good and well when comes to our second teams, reserves etc.

Handful of good signings like Hazard & Costa - they are spotted by Jose & other coaches.
Many major flops like - Marin, Cuadrado, Mo Salah, Papy - these are not wanted by Jose & other coaches.

My issue is - footballing decisions should be let to Coach and not Emenalo.

Non footballing plans and travels Emenalo needs to sensibly deal.

He shouldn't put our team through a rough preseason - especially in the season with new coach & Euro.

We do more miles than every other Premier league team except for the Spuds.

Our last preseason tour of Colonies didn't go well in 2012. I hope it is not a repeat.

Now then - crazy money being rumored for average to decent CBs from Napoli & Roma.

Had we sensibly moved last season, we could have got a decent CB & Jose too!!

Emenalo should go for screwing up the Defensive targets and no proper pipeline of youngsters.
    not clearing deadwoods.

Poor loans for youngsters Ake, Bamford et al.

only accomplishment - no deal for Mikel.

About time.. Emenalo should go before Conte.

Seems to me that Emenalo is in charge of procurement of talent and the fact that we have been screaming out for a "decent" CB for the last two seasons is a severe indictment of his scouting talents. To cap it all we get Luiz back in a Torres-type panic buy......I can't believe that was on Conte's shopping list. If we are to climb back to credibility (top4) in the not too distant future then this is one part of the clubs operation that needs to see drastic improvement.

I do believe Chelsea were turn down for all their top defensive targets. No Champion's league would of been a major factor.

I don't think C.L football was a factor, I think the players we were after, the clubs wouldn't sell. I can't imagine the Napoli lad wouldn't have come had we agreed a price. Seems like Napoli, AC Milan and PSG at least (and maybe Juve) all turned down approaches for defenders before PSG sold us Luiz.

Now then Conte's sack betting is suspended FFS.

Emenalo's sack betting should never be started in the first place. He should be sacked already.

We get 2 or 3 loans in the premier league. Kenedy & Ake can't even make the bench for mighty Watford & Bournemouth.
Where as these guys can do lot for us in wingback role - especially when we get injuries / suspensions we have Pedro as only major option.

with Gray out for the last 3 or 4 matches, Burnley is comfortably losing matches with nice margins. Still Bamford cannot get a ****ing sniff. Why the **** bother?? Send him to Championship already.
