No Ron, I think he was the second half one, believed to be a youngster released from brentfords academy although people seem less sure about that. However he may not even match that description - always on the far side of the pitch to me and i cant really remember!

First year for some time that I haven't been to any of the pre season friendlies.
Usually it's the lack of footie and the fact I can escape doing jobs at home that drives me to go. This year I have finally seen sense!
Don't think I have ever been to one that has given me a correct judgement on how we are going to perform during the season. They are usually fragmented and utter drivel. I think the only real excitement came when Rocky and I went to one at Bristol City away a few years back. The game was dire, but we ended up in a proper a City fans pub before the game and felt somewhat threatened - the biggest pre season adrenaline rush and wasn't even in the ground!

I'm with you on that one Blue_Slasher as I don't do pre-season either. I have very occasionally been persuaded to go to one by one of the group I go to normal matches with. I don't see anything in them and consider them a waste of money. Argyle had WBA yesterday and there was an 8000 crowd there which in itself was a surprise. Reports say there was a load of hastle inside the ground as the club also didn't expect that crowd to turn up either. How exciting it was 0 - 0. The club did an away week in Holand this time and gave a select number of fans the chance to go along with the team. For 5 days in Holand it cost £900+. Places sold out in a matter of an hour apparently. They played one match there. Would you pay that sort of money for that because I certainly wouldn't. The rest of preseason was against non league local clubs. Some people went to them all. You have to be seriously insane to spend that kind of money on nothing games. The only time I've ever been that enthusiastic in my life for anything was at age 25 when the missus put on her french maids outfit. It has never involved football.
