It has now got completely out of hand and the lower leagues and hence English football in general is suffering.
I'm REALLY hoping we see the likes of Ben (and other youngsters I have mentioned previously!!) as a member of the first team squad. Especially as it seems as though he can play in various positions!!! http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...y_offers_alex_neil_food_for_thought_1_4625731
Can someone PLEASE post that on AN's wall - better still it should be his mobile 'wallpaper!!!' This article made me smile - especially some of the comments - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...ern_to_norwich_city_chief_alex_neil_1_4625715. Could it be a 'blessing in disguise????'
That's really nice to read. I love all this in and around our club. Gives me a buzz. Let's put it into motion this season. Not just another Pre-Season of saying they are impressive, then never see them in a Norwich shirt til the next Pre-Season.
My and I'm sure most other fans concern!!!. We really need to see AN sticking to what he's saying now and not changing his mind when he's naming his first team squad!!! I'd happily accept a couple of seasons in the Championship to allow these players to develop rather than spend £15M on McCormack. I'd still like another proven striker at this level (or even from league 1) to bolster our attack!!!!
i completely disagree. Whilst it is a nice sentiment and I too would like to see the youth given a chance. If we give youth a chance and it excels whilst we stay in the champ, it will be goodbye youth as they move to a PL club. If they are good enough they will get game time at the level they are good enough for. Last season I doubt any were ready for the PL and this season 1 or 2 may make some appearances, but getting back to the PL is the be all and end all this season. Thats why we should buy McCormack and the only way we will keep hold of any stars if they start to shine. bah!
FML, I've been a bit hard on you in the past, mainly because of your negativity, ask KIO, he knows what I'm like I feel therefore that it's only right and proper to give praise where it's due, I really enjoyed seeing you in positive mode! More please!
Haha! Dave, I'm am often positive, you only respond to the negative posts coz it gets your back up. I'm not all positive or all negative. I have views both ways, just depends what's going on off and on the pitch. We have just got embarrassingly relegated after looking like we would be staying up. With a lot of really poor teams around us. It's not going to all be flowers and skipping. It was a horrible few months. I appreciate the post though. Just don't only focus on just the negative things I say. Iv praised and got excited about youth players and transfer targets, the kits, the investment in a big screen for the ground reasontly. It was nice to get a notification saying you have quoted me when it hasn't been a bashing.
David Moyes officially Sunderland's manager, good appointment and I think they will be ok this season now.
Shame, a few seasons in the chumpionship would be their deserved level. Bang average squad, just an escapologist gaffer in Big Sam last season - oh, and three points and three goals gifted at the fortress late last season Love to see both them and West Brom drop down a level and 'plucky' little Burnley to emulate last season's 'plucky' little Bournemouth
Just read this - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/police...ich_city_take_on_ipswich_next_month_1_4629681 #lunacy
From today's BBC website - FA must reform, or lose funding - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36877406. Anything that gives more money to 'grass roots' football has got to be a good thing!!!!
The FA hired Danny Mills as some sort of expert, this must go down as misappropriation of funds! Bah!
