I can't entirely disagree, mate. We all know the way things should be, but we also have to deal with realities. These are global corporations.

I'm sure you're aware of the difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion. One is legal, the other isn't. It's up to any incumbent Gvt to shut any loopholes that are being abused, albeit legally.

Blocking corporate websites, or any website they don't like, is what the Chinese and North Koreans do. Do we really want to go down that road?

Not sure it's fear Trebs, these mealy mouthed politicians need somewhere to go post government and where better than to companies they have effectively helped avoid millions in costs.

Another day another attack in Europe from the cancer known as Islam.

The free movement madness needs to end.

    Oh, and it will.

Re your last point...Not really ... but if it's the only way to stop them then so be it.

I agree about government needing to close loop holes but they always use the "they will leave if we make them pay more tax" excuse so refuse to do so.

Like I said it just pisses me off that wanting big business to pay a fair share of their profits in taxes is seen as pie in the sky or looney lefties nonsense (I ain't aiming that at you btw)
I have no issue paying taxes and NI contributions to help pay for things that the country needs but I do object to us paying increasingly higher percentages of our income when businesses pay next to nothing...it feels like we are subsidising them!

Sounds about right from the big corps, get an Indian company to build a big infrastructure project in a rich European country and pay them an Indian wage for a job that would cost them 50x as much by employing European workers.

By leaving the EU the UK will avoid TTIP, but we still have to try and forge a deal with the USA, according to most forecasters it will be a deal even worse that TTIP, because our negotiating position is significantly weaker by not being a part of the EU and because our market is worth significantly less to them on our own, than it was when we were part of a big trading bloc like the EU.

General politics as well. I think the American election is hotting up quite nicely and deserves a mention.

There was a lot of confusing about Dover airport...they thought it would be built, then not and this this happened several times over the years until it was finally decided not to build it.
So to cut a long story short, they think its all Dover...it is now!

Just been watching some of Trump's acceptance speech.

    Scary!, very scary!....

And what's even more scary, the American public are just dumb enough to elect him.

And yes, I hope I'm wrong on that....

I have previously found that around 10-12 pints of Guinness and a good curry can facilitate such a task....
