One thing you have to remember is companies are not valued solely on the value of the assets. If that was the case, facebook would be worth 50 million, instead its was valued at something like 17 billion. The guaranteed income of the premier league and the endorsements that brings ie advertising and sponsorship revenues, merchandise sales and the tv rights is the real value behind the club. now if the club invested 30-40 million in players and said this base investment will increase your chance of earning another 130-140 million next year in revenue as well as this year, then its a no brainer to invest. The Allams are not going to let the club just fail now they have invested so much in the club. They are businessmen and they will want to maximise their profit and they can only do that by making sure the club remains in the prem.

Just to pick up on the highlighted points... Leicester in particular have a scouting team worthy of their name .... WE DON'T..... we made Derby look average once, they made us look average 3 times over the season... and lastly, there was more than one occasion last season that this group of comrades in arms didn't give a **** about each other..
