Interestingly Ruddy played much better when Klose was playing in front of him.

It's good to see so much agreement on the board and especially regarding AN hopefully giving some of our more promising youngsters a chance to prove what they can do and my only hope is that he doesn't go back on his word on that score. I'll be able to see for myself next Tuesday - it should be a good test for them.

I wouldn't mind us taking a punt on any of these:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...blackett-and-will-keane-set-for-man-utd-exit/

Plus: 2 Strikers and a Defender! Wink Wink.

Keane is a prospect and a very decent finisher. Wilson has great potential, bags of pace and an eye for goal, Tyler-Blackett often impressed when he was pushed in at the deep end last season. I think he held himself very well.

If Wilsons available and in our range, I'd love to see us go for him, Then Blackett slightly less, but still I'd be happy with an addition like that, then Keane slightly less again.

All 3 have good potential. As long as the asking price wasn't stupid (which I wouldn't imagine it would be) then all 3 would be worth a good scout and assessment.

Says below it that Fulham want Wilson on loan. I'd take him on loan if that's the way a Championship side would get him. A burst of his pace and he's young, hungry, ready to prove people were right about his potential at United. I think would be a different type of player for us to use. Kind of like we used Bellamy or Earnie.

5 goals in 27 appearances? Hardly what we are looking for I would have thought.

I think these are more contracted suppliers Cromer although no doubt they may cop us some cash to get their name promoted and they may sponsor the odd game or two maybe. I know Page Brothers quite well - a good company.

It seems more like companies who'll be paying for their name on pitchside hoardings I think and yes, it all brings money into the club. <ok>

My guess is that with (probably) Klose staying we see enough cover at CB with him, Rusty, Bennett and Bassong covering those positions and thus any available funding will be spent on strengthening the strikers where we don't have the depth of cover that we do at CB.

Note that I did not use the word quality of cover at CB just that we have 4 options (plus Turner and Whittaker) in the centre of defence whereas up front we only have Jerome and Morris plus two guys sitting in the departure lounge (Laffs and Ricky) waiting to get out. What funds we have plus the monies from the inevitable sale of Brady will be put to trying to snare Assombolonga or McCormack (and/or some cheaper option).

Just my view that's all ......

    No, very valid.
I'm still disppointed by how porous we were defensively last year, but in a lower league, with ideally more goals going in at the right end, assuming we buy a good'un, what's here already along the back is probably sufficient. <ok>
I still have a concern - probably unfounded, that somebody may well inquire about Olsson before too long. That would compound things defensively.

Fair point Cromer, but I'm hopeful that Toffolo may well 'cut the mustard' at LB in the Championship.
Let's not forget that for several weeks last season AN dropped Olsson and Brady was forced to drop back to play at LB!!!

That may well not be an option this season.

Possible stream for today's 6pm match against Dukla Prague on feed2all. I've posted a separate stream about it for those interested.

EDIT: woodbine has posted a link to a YouTube stream for the match which should be better quality. The Official Site lists the match as 6pm, but the time may show as 1700 (5pm) GMT.
