Well, what the hell Dexter, there's still a fair bit of sport going on in this forum, don't get too 'down', go and have a Rioja, or two, or three, cheer you up. The world, especially the northern hemisphere, is in such a horrendous mess the only thing to do is have a beer, or whatever, and **** it. It is the kids I feel for, I do worry so much for their future. This old planet has been really screwed-up for them.

It was the highlight of my golfing life to watch the head to head between Stenson and Mickelson.
You'll never see a better final day of an Open Championship.
Mickelson played the round of his life and lost by three shots against an opponent who did likewise.
Very , very special and a privilege to witness it. <applause>

Stenson seems a pretty decent sort to me, Tamerlo. Listening to him in an interview after the tournament, I don't think in any way things will go to his head. Good guy! Don't follow golf much, but that was indeed an epic last round.

I mean as per my latest avatar put up after our Kylie won at Musselburgh this afternoon. All of a sudden my £2.50 bet on Brandan Grace is a potential huge win. Just going to do that with all the other fancied players now. Fingers crossed it works again.

I think we all lost interest in your avatars Sunday evening.
Posting winning bets after the event will only provoke ridicule on this forum.

Just a bit of friendly advice like.

It's a small price to pay for winning lots of money!

I agree though and will post all bets in advance in future (a bit like my latest avatar).

Mate this method doesn't make sense. So if you're backing 10 golfers and doubling them with another bet, the other bet could take, lets say, an average of four goes. That comes to forty odd bets at £2.50 (like in your avatar) leaving a staked total of £100. Meaning your getting 3/1.

EDIT: I would also guess you have to up your stake for the shorter priced golfers which probably makes it closer to 2/1 (same price as Faugheen for the Champion Hurdle<laugh>)

All I know is I spent about £80 in small bets to win nothing in the Masters (didnt do Willett) another £80 to win an £820 double in the US Open and £90 in small bets to win 2 doubles totalling £600 in the Open. Will probably spend about £90 in small bets on the USPGA but am heavily in profit win or lose but strategy works for me.

Do we really care what Fusion's strategy is? If he's happy to post his bets up in advance for us to see his profit/loss account (eg as I did with my fictional £10k betting account) that's fine. On the other hand, if he wants to keep it personal then that is also fine. Posting winning bets on here afterwards is asking for ridicule, as Fusion has discovered. He has promised not to provoke or ridicule others' bets and he's promised not to after time. How about we cut him a bit of slack now and give the bloke a chance? Please don't go over old ground in response to this post. He knows the score. .

No slack from me Ron but don't worry as I feel I am almost done here. Finish the season off in Cycs comp then it's goodbye from me.

I can understand that stick, seems less and less about racing recently. I personally enjoy the boxing thread and like discussing that with people who post on there but with regards to the racing, there seems to be fewer and fewer tips and general discussion and a lot more mud slinging and personal attacks of late.

That's not good. Is that a general feeling amongst the forum? I haven't seen a lot of mud slinging since the dreaded Cheltenham 2015. Am I missing something?
