Getting rid of someone not on the books, who you don't have to pay NI contributions for, pensions contributions, holiday pay etc doesn't save money which suggests government cuts and saving money wasn't the reason.
It's not going to change until we get a new owner and that's not looking like happening any time soon sadly.
It makes it cheaper to get rid of them so they tend to go first. I'm really surprised you think that would be ok with me.
FFS I didn't say it was......I said you might as well lay the blame at their door for it. The Allams are being portrayed as public enemy number 1 at the moment and it appears that everyone is simply believing everything the local media is pumping out about the take over being 'dead in the water' 'A source close to the club said.....' and so. If those breaking their necks to break this news then lets have some real facts, some actual quotes and some names to the source of these rumours. Because all this defeatist talk is doing is casting a ****ing great cloud over everything yet no-one has actually spoke to the very people who are supposed to be conducting this deal. It's all here say.
The dead being dead is a fact, whether you chose to believe it or not is up to you, but it remains a fact.
I will make my position clear. I don't blame the Allams for everything that is wrong with the world. I don't think they are public enemy number 1. I have no idea if Assem demanded £6 million for the SMC last Thursday. It makes sense as I think the reason the Americans wanted us was to develop the area. Its what Goldman Sachs are experts at. But that doesn't mean it happened, it just makes sense. If the Allams wanted to they could lift the gloom around Hull City tomorrow. Even if they remain as owners. There are so many easy hits its unbelievable. But will they? I doubt it.
It is until someone puts a name to some of the stuff supposedly coming out of the club. I could start a rumour now saying I've heard from a good source that Bruce has got the England job, Terry Dolan is coming back and Martin Fish is taking over as chairman as a paid employee of the Allams. Because without a known name to the source my rumour carries as much credibility as some of the other stuff coming out.
I think the Allams continued near total silence around the club tells us everything we need to know about them. The fact that Steve Bruce has been made into a diplomat between club and fans is shocking. Whenever Bruce leaves his legacy will be one of diplomacy of which he appears to be running short off now. Cant wait to read his Autobio one day..
Was half expecting something like the extra 6m, as we already have a history with these two pulling last minute fast ones i.e. Long(first time around)/ Gray transfer's only for it to go tits up.
Burnsey is now saying that the Allams decided late on that the sale wouldn't include the SMC. So they wanted to sell a football club but not the ground they play in (In relative terms) for £100M. I hope the Americans told them to **** off.
On past performance it makes complete sense that the Allam's wanted to retain ownership of the SMC, it would have enabled them to continue twisting the knife into the two sporting club tenants. The Allam's are ****ing pariahs and the only shocking thing is that there are still seemingly people that don't realise it!
No they haven't pissed off Sky yet. That might change with our first match though. Depends how well we as supporters protest against them. ALLAMS OUT
The Yanks should have pulled the plug on the tenancy post completion, built a new stadium say at Melton and left the Allams holding the baby (and the white elephant) lol
I did mention earlier that the ownership of the SMC could have a bearing on the sale. Its now massively ironic that they value the mill stone that they were prepared to give away for nothing at 6 million now.
