Town played Wolves in a preseason friendly yesterday and the score ended up being 2-2 with Mangan and Barnett scoring for Town

Why can't they spell Mangan yet?

Town lost four nil in the first of the friendlies. Barnett got dome game time, and Mellon has admitted that he is not aware of a transfer request bring handed in. Two trialists played, one is the right back from hitchin and the other is unconfirmed.

Not overly impressed by either. Both did OK but no better than we have already.

Glad I am on holiday in sunny Cornwall when I saw the scoreline. Hopefully pre-season friendlies don't mean much. Will be back for the Hibs game.

A good workout for a large portion of the squad. A confidence building 1-0 win and definitely a confidence boosting goal for Jones.

Two trialists in the squad tonight, yet we'd sent all of the trialists away??

A rather poor effort from us at the Hibs game. They were fitter than us as they had played competitive games but even so it could have been a real thrashing after the first quarter of a hour. After that there were a few more positives (O' Brien has a bit of class and Dodds and Leitch-Smith made some good runs) but the defense looks an absolute shambles. Any sort of ball behind the full backs was usually enough to put us into trouble and we rarely picked up any runners from midfield. Deegan and Riley both looked well off the pace. Surely El_-Adb needs to come in on Saturday and we have to go five at the back. After last year's appalling home form we cannot afford another loss against MK Dons.

It appears that the defense and attack are still concerns, the defense is definitely a worry. Let's hope that current form in preseason is not an indication of what our season will be like.
