Only once and doesn't exactly look reliable. http://sportwitness.co.uk/claim-chile-sunderland-approach-manuel-pellegrini/
I think really it's time for Sam to cross his next bridge. To me he's always wanted that club support. West Ham fans never seem to took to him. He's got our seaon turned around. The coming season he can pit his wits against Guidola, Mourinho, Wenger. Klopp etc for what is sure to be one of he best seasons ever. Or is he going the ego route of trying to to be England's greatest? I know Sam your wife look's at these blogs....preach what you practice....total commitment to the cause and don't throw us under the bus. Commit to Sunderland and be a legend.......
I don't think anything will be getting settled this week, mate. The FA are in no hurry and have now come out and said that. This will roll on for another 10 days at least, imo.
Anything could be happening right now, Allardyce could have agreed to the role and the lawyers could be going over his exit deal and coming up with a mutually agreed package. As far as I can see, nobody on Twitter, SSN, here or anywhere else in the public eye, seems to know wtf is going on, so they're doing a good job of keeping it in-house. I don't even think they'll interview Klinsmann.
I don't think will happen this week either. What we need and what we get are differant. Just gauging our time scale. What we need to salvage a preseason. No later than tomorrow. This is if we want our new manager knowing his best team before the season kicks off. Imo anyway.
They should get Klinsmann in and just sing "Footballs coming home" in his face for an hour then show him the door. Preferably they would record this and put it on their website.
By best team I don't just mean selection either, I mean a full assessment consisting of learning our squads strengths weakness and have a good grasp on how to get the best out of him.
We want Sam to stay, so I think we're stuck with waiting and seeing. He clearly wants the job, so if he's offered it....
Even with a good replacement manager this could take months. And it could not have come at a worse time, our hands are tied. I cant think of this situation ever arising before in football, it may have happened, but I personally doubt it. .
Oh and to allow the new signings to gel with the squad... Oh Hang on a minute.... there won't be any bloody new signings.....................
