Liverpool are close to signing Ragnar Klavan from Augsburg as defensive cover for Liverpool ahead of the new season. #lfc (Paul Joyce)
Never heard of him... Estonian captain and CB, 108 caps so plenty of experience. Guess would be as back up but could do with 1 more CB given we only really have Lovren/MAtip & Sakho
Suggests Klopp is happy with his long term options of Lovren, Matip, Sakho and Gomez and needs needs immediate cover.
With a name like Ragnar what could go wrong Klopp obviously realises you need decent CBs and is working on that with Matip and Ragnar.
Don't think we really need that Wijnaldum. If he's fairly cheap then he'd be a decent option coming off the bench but not worth spending a load of money on
Wijnaldum rumours are hotting up. Zielinski deal is dead. Wijnaldum could be a plan B for that signing. We could do with a midfield goal scorer.
Wijnaldum would be a good signing for you, better than most midfielders you have but not very cheap, £27m was the asking price last week, about right these days though and cheaper than some you have bought with less talent.
We've only made 3 signings over that value, benteke, carrol and mane. I guess benteke and Carroll would be right in terms of having less talent then.
Think he's do really well there. Think he'd do well at about half the clubs in the league if they played to his style and gave him service. He's not going to create much himself but Palace with Zaha, Bolaisie, Townsend, Puncheon out wide, plenty of service given to him to score goals. Only thing is not sure he thinks they're at his level
BBC reporting it too now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36821977 Ragnar Klavan: Liverpool close in on Augsburg defender Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign Augsburg central defender Ragnar Klavan for a fee of £4.2m. The Estonia captain, 30, would act as cover for Frenchman Mamadou Sakho, who is expected to miss the start of the season with an Achilles tendon injury. Manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to strengthen his defensive resources after Kolo Toure was released and Martin Skrtel sold to Fenerbahce.
Ish A friend had a spiral brake, bone didn't snap into two clean pieces. Instead the brake spiralled up and around the bone, took him just under a year before he could run and had to have a cage for 2 months. All he did was jump and land slightly awkward. Ba, looks like a clean snap, but doesn't seem to be a compound fracture which always makes them look worse
