Lots of time left to sign players . Very happy with the signings so far . Fer and Van Der Hoorn are in the " Cheap and Dynamic " column .... Lots of minor signings for the academy . Wasn't that long ago Martinez couldn't gets his hands on 300,000 £ to land Paul Anderson ... We've come a long way . While most are in the dumps watching other clubs " Ridiculously Overpay " for transfers , I'm enjoying this window watching us sticking to our guns and shopping for sales .. Chelsea have a squad valued at over 400,000,000 £ and they finished 3 points ahead of our 80,000,000£ club ....lol... love it . No wonder they're trying to land a player of Ayew's ability for a 12 million £ laugh of a bid . I guess we could sell Ayew for 12 million and use it as a down payment for Allen ...lol
It's great fun reading all the press rumours that never materialise and even greater fun reading the comments of people who actually believe them.
What isn't funny though is that we have no strikers. Once we do, providing their decent and not cheap crap like Gomis and Palo, I'll be happy
Your going to get your arse kicked for that from his surrogate father for daring to suggest Paloschi wasn't very good.
I actually think it is quite amusing, we will have players coming in. As for Gomis, he wasn't cheap considering his signing on fee and his wages, would you have been happy if we paid twice the price?
That's the problem, he was available for free and other than Newcastle, I can't think of any other club that wanted him at the time.
I am not sure many believe them, there are however some I hope are true and some I really really hope aren't.
Fer = 769 minutes Paloschi = 669 minutes Eder = 269 minutes Judgement passed without substance .........The funny thing is if Eder and Paloschi have great seasons .....it will be because of the old stand in excuse ...The Leagues they play in .
Funny that roof because you have made the desicio the other way after those periods of time, so does that mean that you have made your judgement they are good enough without substance.
Once they're bought , I like to give opportunity. It's a good thing Joe Allen only played 734 minutes for Liverpool last season , if he played anymore than that God only knows what Liverpool. would be asking for they're 14 million £ asking price (and a player with 1 season left on his contract ) Also , I'm expecting us to get a " Thankyou card " from Lille for Eder . I realize it's only the French League .... A league Ayew spent 5 seasons in and couldn't score more than he did with us last season .
So answer the question has your judgement been made without any substance or hasn't it. because you cant have it both ways.
Last season especially, some here were waxing lyrical about 'our strongest squad ever' and the excitement of signings such as Tabanou who would go straight into the starting 11. Van der Hoorn is drawing similar comments already. Most of us know nothing about how good he really is yet. He is another signing that we hope works out rather than paying for something where we know what we'll get.
Gee lefty , when you buy players its to generally have them stay for a bit and generally support them ..... We ditched Eder after 269 minutes and he played superbly for Lille on loan and was crucial in the Euro final . I'm going to say we didn't look good enough but who knows . Same with Paloschi , I liked what I saw but I guess we will see . Why do teams buy players ? Not to give them no chance and ditch them based on ....NOTHING.
