Just seen that ITV are reporting that City are going to take their time before appointing a new CEO, at this rate we'll still be a rudderless ship come Christmas

 

Bit of a strange thing to say. We can all see they are taking their time! It's been months!

He was getting some help from a desperate defender in that instance, Cromer. According to a report on the Pink'un board, he was an imposing presence up front and took his goal well. There was also mention of Diallang Jaiyesimi playing RW, full of tricks and showing real quality. Michael Effete looked big and strong and composed and Jamal Lewis played well at RB, with good technical ability as well.

Having watched both of today's games on Posh's Player, the first was much tighter. RvW had a good header deflected wide by the keeper and there were some good chances before Josh slipped through and chipped the advancing keeper for an excellent goal. Naismith was the hub as he found space and exploited it well with some excellent passing. Mulumbu was also very lively going box to box and Klose and Bennett looked solid in defence. Josh was the pick of the younger players but Effete looked good at LB as well.

The second game was more upbeat as City dominated from the start. It was my first glimpse of Maddison and I was impressed. He was poised and provided the hub for attacks, but it took some time for him to link-up effectively with Jerome. In the end, it was Jacob who did that and it was his shot that the keeper could only parry and Jerome pounced on it to score. Jacob then provided an excellent curling cross that Jerome was only inches away from at the far post. To top it off, Jacob scored the final goal with an excellent header from Maddison's corner. Turner and Bassong were solid in defence and Tettey and Thompson paired up well in front of them. Toffolo should have had a penalty when he was shoved from behind when clean through on the keeper.

Three goals by the three J's (Josh, Jerome and Jacob), clean sheets for Ruddy and Rudd, and some promising performances from the young guns. Good stuff indeed.

 

I see Pinto is happy to stay and join the battle in the forthcoming season - I think he could become a useful player to have in the squad!!

From what I've seen. he's lucky to play a part. If he said he's "Happy to stay" well...yea?! Ether that or a free transfer!! You've done nothing here yet!!

 

Totally disagree.
I reckon he's our new Steen Needergard - especially with a semi defensively minded RM ahead of him

 

I also disagree. It wasn't easy coming in halfway through the season, especially with Redmond in front of him. In the later games he found his feet and produced a good blend of both attacking and defending play. IMO, he'll be our main man at RB this season and keep that balance going, especially with a more balanced RW ahead of him.

Yep, I'd say he was like him. That's why I'm worried.

 

Pinto is good at going forward, but defensive work needs improving. But hopefully he will do better in the Championship.

 

That apply to every single player in the whole Norwich squad.

Pinto is the least of our worries. I expect him to be excellent in the Championship.

I have just read this, and was surprised that we would offer him the number 1 role.
If that is true I feel really sorry for D. Rudd, thought he did a good job at a bad time last season and had hoped we would use him more now back in the champ.
