squad numbers

Do we know squad numbers for the season yet I know Stewart will be 7 and McLean will be 9 according to there twitters but not seen anything else?

 

Twitter is still the only source i think mate. Fryatt is still number 12 and Brady 11. I can see Barmby, Devitt and Cairney keeping the same numbers from last season. Guess we'll probably find out on Friday night.

 

That's interesting about Brady. Obviously he will be in the 11 but I thought he was only here till January, to give him number 11 for 5 months could indicate more perhaps? Could there already be a permanent fee in place? Its not impossible with united having the likes of nani park young giggs sneijder on the way and even obertan ahead of him. The lads got some serious talent ahead of him. Plus he's 19 and got no were near the first team at united yet. Could bode well for us if he has a good start to the season. Having said that this is of course just wild speculation!

 

That is a wild assumption/speculation after him only being given a number, although I can certainly see it turning into a season long loan if the first 6 months go well

agree on Brady and for sure NP will want to keep him for the season and why would Brady or Man Utd Not want that ?
i am drooling at the thought of Brady and Stewart on both flanks.....full backs everywhere Beware.

as for speculation on the squad numbers ? well i think Rosie No.2, Hobbs 4, Chester 5, Ayala 6, Fryatt 12, Simo 10, Mclean 9, Dele 19, and a stab in the dark...Pusic No.25

Who should get the No.8 shirt ? Harper or Cairney ?

I see Harper's number has changed from 8 to 16. He must have accepted or been told that he won't be getting too many games. Although it doesn't matter about the numbers, as long as we win the games.

Its obvious we are never going to play him again so no point giving him a squad number

 

I know squad numbers don't always reflect the starting 11 but does this suggest that Gulacsi may not be nailed on to start

 

I've got a really weird thing about squad numbers.. the players have to 'suit' the number, and numbers 8, 10 and 11 don't suit their respective players in my mind. It's like a weird OCD or something

 

not tht much of a surprise as he didnt have a number last season either

 

Bullard, Oily and Ghilas have no number. Dudge at #19 a surprise? Perhaps not, no reason to take #3 from Daws.
