Boris has been in the Foreign Office 24 hours and it's all going to pot. Could we send him out to mediate, in the hope that he would comeback with something of more value than a handful of magic beans?
Idiot tweet that. Boris will very well know more about Turkey than most of us and probably most of his fellow cabinet members!!!
Delicate handling? They are shooting at each other on the bridge to Europe. This could spell a huge disaster.
This could be the start of a massive war between Europe and the middle east and the worst part of it is that potentially we now have millions of their fighter already now in Europe!!!
I bet when Boris was appointed most people thought he'd not have to make any decisions or influence things, well not for a while anyway. Bugger.
As they said on The Last Leg earlier, we were told millions of Turks were heading to the UK but we didn't expect the President to be first in line!
If the rural muslim parts of Turkey get organised there will be a huge huge problem there. The military will have to be ruthless to stop the country from collapsing no matter how good their intentions are. Turkey away from Istanbul and more western thinking is a country that is not totally unsympathetic towards IS and the military are probably working on intelligence somewhere that there is imminent risk.
If Erdogan gets sidelined, that's likely a very very good thing (and cuts off a supportive pipeline for the likes of ISIS - they won't like this one bit).
I rather like Elon Musk's theory. Makes all this easier to bear if you believe it, and makes as much sense as any monotheistic God - http://www.vox.com/2016/6/2/11837608/elon-musk-simulation-argument
That all sounds like someone who knows what LSD introspection is like and actually come out the other side fully believing it is real.
