    Listen to what Pardew says.

Pardew is, I think, trying to manage the club as best he can given that he has littele control over who his players are. He has never had a bad word to say about Barton. e]Quite the oppsite. He has sadi he hopes and thinks he will stay. He has identified him as a creative presence in the midfield.

Ranger he has told to look elsewhere. Enrique he has criticised but then said that they have put that behind them. For Barton he has had nothing but praise.

Or Pardew didn't want to make matters worse by increasing the mud-slinging? What happens when you're stuck in the middle of a fight, you compliment both sides and hope to god they forget why they fought in the first place.

...though obviously Ashley and Joey were never going to forget how much they hate eachother.

Oh, the Pardew has been doing what he could to make them kiss and make up I agree. I just don't think he'd havebeen praising Barton on Friday if he had been such a disruptive influence that he was a "final straw" tweet away from being not worth having

True, I just think that it's a better indication than what a club source may be feeding to the journal

I listened to Pardew when he said that AC wasn't for sale, for any price.

I listened to Pardew when he said that the £35m was going to be put back into the squad (not the training facilites etc).

I listened to Pardew when he said that the club was going to do everything in it's power to sign up KN and JB on long term deals, and build the team around them.

I listened to Pardew when he said that the new contract put before JE represented a fabulous deal for the player (not an extension on his existing deal)

Do you know what? I don't think I'll bother to listen to Pardew any longer.

Well, Pardew has stirred it up with Jose and young Nilos. But never stirred it with Joey... seems that he wasn't seen as disruptive by the manager, otherwise he would have said so.

He blatantly hasn't been disruptive. He has been one of the main reasons for unity at the club since we went down. He has been slightly disruptive with the board (not the squad) in more recent times when they've had a big brown shat on him and his mates for digging the club out of the ****.
