They delayed the yellow jersey presentation, so something is going on. That can't stand, or the lead riders will refuse to race tomorrow I would guess. What a farce.

Unfortunately I missed this, sounds more like Tour de Farce.

But hasn't this been coming? The spectators intruding onto the thin mountain roads has been happening for years, and nothing is ever done about it. The motorcycle in front is meant to clear the way but some of those spectating don't care about what's coming.

ah yes, hopefully some good news, can imagine Yates and Quintana would be embarrassed to take a lead given these events

As he was running up I take it Froome didn't pick up any affecting injury in the crash?

I am sure they won't want to win based on this situation, will be interesting to see what they do, there is no doubt Quintana couldn't stay with Froome & Porte.

Didn't seem to, but sometime adrenaline takes over, but he didn't look injured.

I'd hope they'd give Porte and Froome the same time as Mollema, that would be the easiest way to do it

In any sporting event you want a fair outcome based on the participants ability, fitness, tactical awareness etc.
(Not a winning goal scored in a big game after a goalkick is given rather than a corner for example!) Surely

    Oops, fat fingers!

Surely all the riders want this addressed.

I heard that this stage didn't have the '3km crash' element agreed; but it was at v near 3km, so owt might happen.

Crowds and moto = ****-up, big-time.

They have been given the same time as Mollema who was with both Froome and Porte, so Froome has increased his lead of Yates & Quintana etc.

In a normal stage it is barriered from circa 3k out .. today because they moved the finish down the mountain thats why there were no barriers in place. As such, they commissars have had to take a view of the likely outcome... Thats what Rob Hales has said on 5 live I think.

3km rule only normally exists on a flat stage where in reality not a great deal changes over the last 3k so if a crash happens you can safely assume same times, it doesn't formally exist on a mountain stage as so much can change in the last 3k where minutes can be lost if someone cracks, but they have wiggle room to deal with clusterfucks like today thankfully!!

Froome got a 'neutral' bike (from the Mavic car?) - it was too small and he couldn't get his feet grips done. He finished on a Sky bike.
