Was all set to place my Frankel bet, then I saw the odds 1/4 I see buzz is down for the last at Lingfield, each way shout ? All the best if it runs
1 day to go until Dustin starts his procession to the Open golf title. I need a new Avitar and think he'll win by at least 5 shots now he lost that monkey off his shoulder at the US Open. 9-1 is still a steal although have him at 12s and 16s.
Pogba to join united before the 4th September - 4/5 with Skybet. I'll have some of that thank you very much. Can't see the agent leaving millions and millions of pounds on the table.
I wonder by what coincidence you have an opinion in that particular race out of the 32 there is to choose from tomorrow! #totallyworthlessprick
What was wrong with Buzz lto stick, did they find anything? He ran a mid 60's horse to a length first time out at Brighton then was well beat by a high 40's albeit improving horse next time there. Something surely amiss. Hope he goes well for ya's tomorrow.
We had him scoped immediately after the race by the racecourse vet because the run was too bad to be true and it came back filthy and full of mucus. Our vet saw him the following day and confirmed he had a throat infection and put him on a course of antibiotics. He is over it now and he is working very well at home again. The concern for us is that whilst his work is good his demeanour has completely changed. Before Brighton he would jig jog out of the yard and be on his back legs, since he seems completely flat and not the playful boy he was before. If he was bouncing and working well we would be piling on but as it is its hard to recommend backing him. Fingers crossed the rain stays away for Squire on Thursday ;-)
Perhaps the experience just phased him a bit and has made him a bit more thoughtful than playful. I think he has a great chance, still think if he hadn't got short of room 2 out first time at Brighton he would have almost won. All going well, tomorrow he can land the 1st prize. The Crowley meister is on top form too, masterclass at Windsor Monday evening.
yeah he rides Squire on Thursday too I just hope BUZZ has not been dulled by the whole experience, he has had a pretty traumatic year.
I must be missing something. This is a thread where tips and picks can be posted is it not? Is there a rule that we can't post in races you don't want us to? Good luck to whatever your tip is in this race but mine is New Abbey Angel who has won off a much higher mark only 5 months ago.
By the way. NEW ABBEY ANGEL has one career win to its name at Lingfield in February off a mark of exactly 55, tomorrow it races off 60. Your inability to grasp the basic fundamental of the handicapping system is a) worrying to me and b) music to the ears of all bookmakers! Can I point it out to you in the most basic of terms. Tomorrow New Abbey Angel races off 5lb higher than its only win to date!
A long time since I have been into a bookies Stick but that is ludicrous. How they can even call themselves a bookmaker when not even standing a £50EW bet is beyond me. I think I would have been happier were the race on turf as he ran well there before on turf, the draw is also giving him a lot to do on the polytrack surface. In his favour however is he is still unexposed due to one reason or another and may have the ability to get his head in front. Best of luck however and either way it will be good to just see him run well and show he is over the infection..
Best of luck with Buzz today Stick, I'll have a little bit on I can't not back him but he's up against one of my favourites in old Megalala so having to back both in singles with the reverse forecast aswell. Best result would be if Megalala could follow Buzz home!
Can I just ask why this thread has been "doctored". Was it done by the moderators? A post has been changed so that now someone doesnt look as stupid as they did when I called them on it! I want to why this has been done and if I dont get a satisfactory answer this WILL be the last time I ever post on the Daily Thread!
Any poster can modify their own posts retrospectively stick. I have never (and never will) modify anyone else's comments. If I find something unacceptable then the whole comment gets deleted. I'm sure Ron has the same view.
