We have to be realistic here I think. Scrotumless Gini is worth £18-22 Million and the useless french **** is now worth £17-20 Million. £40 for them 2, is the sale of the century!! Everyone is just looking at either their goals in a relegated team or their performances in a National Team, and thinking they are amazing. We have been looking at them for 40+ games over a season, and we see something different. Get rid I say, before people twig on to the fact that they are generally ****e, week to week.!!
We need a deal of Carroll proportions for both him and Gini. Neither of them will want to be here next season and Sissoko's stock is the highest it will ever be at this club imo. I can see Gini going for 18-25m but Sissoko has to be 30+m given the exposure he's had at this tournament. Clubs won't be shy offering sky high wages as well, so you can guarantee he'll want away. Just hope we don't screw it up, these 2 could feasibly bankroll our promotion and our first season back. Edit: I think both of them will go and be fantastic for some other club with a higher-quality squad. They both have the potential to be world-class, but we are at least 3 years off being able to get the best out of their kind of player.
Have to disagree. Sissoko will never be world class as he simply doesn't have the technical skills required. Combine that with his attitude and lack of heart and he will always flatter to deceive. He will have some great games and moments but not regularly enough to merit being considered a world class player. The only place he is or ever will be world class is inside his own head.
Sky Sports quoting we are after £35mil for Sissoko... http://www.skysports.com/football/n...y-will-have-to-come-up-with-16335m-to-buy-him
If Liverpool are about to sell Benteke for £30mil that would fund their move for sissoko but knowing that I'd charge them £40m as their daft enough to do it.
SSN NEWCASTLE WANT £35M FOR SISSOKO Newcastle have told other clubs they will have to pay £35m if they want to sign France star Moussa Sissoko, SSN HQ understands. The 26-year-old, who joined Newcastle from Toulouse for an undisclosed fee in January 2013, was superb for France as they reached the Euro 2016 final, where they lost to Portugal on Sunday. Sissoko has already declared he wants to leave Tyneside, telling French website Foot Mercato in June that he wanted to join a team in the Champions League and described Arsenal as a "beautiful" club. lmfao, couldnt make it up. 35 mio.
Out of interest - we all trust Rafa and what he wants at the club. If Rafa saw enough in the last few games to think he could get something out of Moussa, and that he knows how to motivate him into performing consistently, would it change anything? If Rafa believes that he will make the team better and has a place here, would you support him? He has already said that he wants most of the squad to stay and that nobody will leave if it isn't right for the club, so it is something we should be prepared for with some of the players we have been critical of. How would you feel if Moussa was one of those players?
If he can perform like he has for France consistently people will forget fairly quickly, if he comes back and is obviously not trying, which he hasn't this season just gone, fans will be baying for blood. It's up to Moussa, can try and force an exit which will do him no favors in the long term or he can suck it up and have a year beasting the championship and see where that takes him. End of the day he must know he has a contract here and is signed on till 2019 so there's not really much he can do and like I say if he want's to try and call peoples bluff by striking I'd let him rot in the U18's for the next three years.
I think if the manager wants to keep him then you have to back him. If that is the wrong decision and it is part of a failure, then he has to carry the can for that. Personally I'd get rid. The little uplift in form after Rafa could be just flash in the pan stuff. We are under no pressure. You don't keep unhappy players but as Dudek found out with Rafa, you can't always get what you want.
Some perspective here, doesn't it say something that an attacking player had the game of his life and still didn't score or assist a goal? Great, he can run...what a talent
It just depends who if anyone is interested. 11 goals in your debut season, full international, proper class player, despite him unfairly being the whipping boy for many fans. I think we'd be mad to let him go tbh. Elite club with money to burn = £30m. Worse players have gone for more. We should bear in mind that the usual valuations are out of date now with PL clubs getting 70% more TV money this season.
I have to say mind if we haul in 62m for the pair of them, that is a good warchest for next season if we go up.
