Just wondering what people realistic new season expectations of where we will finish up and the lowest position you would be satisfied with considering the following

    • although the transfer business isn't done yet - have we strengthened enough and in the right areas?
    • The big 4-5 coming back and some with new managers
    • the champions league distraction (<laugh>)
    • the pressure of being champions
    • title winning hangover?
    • becoming established in the premiership
    • fans expectations
    • the boost of vardy staying
I personally reckon we will finish between 6th to 8th
anything below 10th and I reckon I would call a disappointing season

I´m going for a top 6 finish. Manc Poo, Man City, Chelsea & Arsenal, are the only teams that l would say will do better than us this coming season, may be Spurs too. I think we will have enough to hold the likes of West Ham, Southampton & Liverpool at bay. Everton will be around about, but it will take a season or 2 for them to be pushing for a top 4 place.
We need to get back into europe again next season whether that´s the CL or the EL, one or the other.

History has shown how difficult it is to defend the premiership title - so I will go for ....................................... champions.

It's a hard one to call. The pressure should be on the big teams so if we finished behind them all in 7/8th position it wouldn't be a bad season in my eyes. If we keep Kante, with the additions, then i reckon we can challenge top 4, to win the league again would be unreal. Saying all that I'm suggesting 8th-4th, last 16 champions league.

I´d really love an FA cup win as l´ve said before. Top 6 & that would be very good.

We are a good team, Top 4 finish seems realistic to me!

Avoiding relegation first and then taking it from there, of cause it depends on keeping who we have and then improving the team.

Like I said last year, I want us to be 1 place above what we did the previous season so I want the Champions League <cheers>

... if we keep Kante and Mahrez we will be going into this season with (again) the best squad ever assembled at the club ... as we showed last season, and as Wales, Iceland and Portugal have shown; a good 'team' with some individual flair can certainly compete against a collection of stars who lack the complete team ethos ... can't wait to see Musa and Mendy in action ... look like two very astute signings ...

whilst football is an inexact science, we should finish comfortably in the top 10, and with the depth of squad and the quality of some of our individuals I would be disappointed if we were not at least competing for a European spot, not just next season, but on a regular basis ... how times have changed.

Top 10 would be the minimum requirement i'd guess, and thats pretty good going from a team that are only entering their 3rd season in the league.

Teams will be wary of us this year though and might park the bus rather than compete in an open match. Also need to recognise that teams like Liverpool, Man City, Man U and Chelsea will be much improved from last season, don't think we're going to take as many points off them as we did last year. I worry for Arsenal at this stage, i don't see them making the top 4.

If we keep the likes of Kante and Mahrez, i guess we could even push for a top 4 place again, we only lost 3 matches last season!

I'd want similar to last season, comfortably avoid relegation and push on from there ... in both competitions ... don't want us to be relegated to the Championship or the Europa League :emoticon-0105-wink:

Top 6/8 and top half as a minimum. However we should be aiming for 40 points first and take it from there as it worked well this season. I agree with the above about Arsenal, I think they'll struggle

Top ten and a cup run would do me nicely (either Champions' League or FA).

And 10 games in... And 15... And halfway through... And 30 games in... <whistle>

They knew early on last season, knowing is one thing but effectively dealing with it is another. And most didn't.

I'm expecting the traditional top teams to be stronger, although there is a lot of rebuilding to be done at some and that doesn't happen overnight. I'd like 8th or above. I don't want to steal Chelsea's record of the worst PL title defence. And a respectable showing in the CL.

Top 8 is realistic. Cant imagine Vardy and Mahrez being able to replicate last season so others will have to step up. Ranieri certainly is giving us the best chance with the signings so far.
