We still need first team signings though. I'd be pretty displeased if all we signed were 16-18 year olds who are years away from the first team (not that I think that will happen).

Oh for sure we do, no doubt about it. Just pleased we seem to be bringing in decent players to top up the pool, and be ready in 2-3 seasons time to integrate into the squad.

I'm a long way from meltdown, and I don't personally care whether we spend 5p or 100m, so long as we are acquire both the high-end talent we need to replace some of the departures, and we have adequate depth to handle the rigors of a season in which we could play close to 60 competitive matches. If that can be accomplished very cheap, perfect. But there's absolutely no reason for us to be going into this season with holes, given the sheer amount of money kicking around.

With regards to Austin being injured a lot .......his record is 46, 40, 37 and 36 games in the four seasons before last and was fit by the end of last season. And if he finds his goal scoring form he had at QPR in the prem we will have a great player in our team.
Jay Rod however given his injury is an unknown ......he could come back and pick up where he left off..........or as some people have mentioned he may not.
Still got a feeling we will get Das Bost for £8m.
