I wasn't suggesting a conspiracy, or even any poor negotiation skills on our behalf. I was claiming just typical bad luck. But as we were dealing with Inter, hardly surprising.

 

Right I'm making a conscious decision now not to read one bit of transfer news nor pay the club any attention until the first game of the season. The annual summer money fight can crack on without me I'm getting too old for this ****, wake me up when they're actually playing footy.
