Wonder how long before the grumpys start complaining they mightnt get their refund on season tickets after all
I play a bit of golf (badly) & on society days, if you fail to hit your tee shot past the ladies tee you are obliged to walk down the fairway with your trousers down. Humble pie just doesn't cut the mustard today - something drastic is happening / has happened at Leeds. I poo pood Cellinos talk about the board meeting to sort things out but....
Its clear something happened at that board meeting. As a fan I dont care as it appears to have been positive. Dont worry Marcos, youre not the only one tucking into a bowl of humble pie and I can sense Chesh grinning from across the Irish sea
Hey'up Elland, I think Shilton retired from international duty around 42 yrs old, but carried on playing league football till he retired at 47. Alex Stepney retired at 42 as well. I'm a bit reserved on us playing a 36 yr old keeper, he's not a Shilton or Stepney and the game is different nowadays. What worries me is his reaction and reflex speed, it ain't what it use to be. Keepers at that age tend to call on their experience a lot, I'm sure we'll see it put to test at some stage. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, managers/coaches going back for former players doesn't fill me with excitement till they've actually played a few games, there's obvious reasons why their former teams are releasing the former players, and we're supposedly going for a promotion push. Here's hoping Monks former player/s don't become his favourites but are picked on merit, or we'll be stuffed. Only player I feel excited about at moment is Antonsson, now Antenucci's gone we need an exciting striker up front cos we ain't got one. I liked what I saw of Antonsson on youtube, but this is the championship, only time will tell. Roofe is a step up, if he performs then I see Wood on bench or in reserves, his time is now very limited. The rest, we'll just have to wait and see. Looks like Taylor could be on move if the rumours are true, if it's the case we'll lose a very good LB, but who will be able to emulate him. Unless Monk can do something with Mowatt he won't be featuring much as a starter, Cook, same old same old and not much impact, Murphy looks like he could be out, no consistent impact there either. Here's hoping we're good enough for that promotion push, while I was excited about it earlier, I'm more reserved at the moment till the players play and prove their worth.
Big enough to admit it mate, just thank my lucky stars it is not because we won promotion with Ant, Dec, Bellend, Namby Pamby from Brazil etc - doing humble pie to Radiohead would have been a step too far
Teetering would be closer to the truth! WBA benefit from Roofe sell on clause, WBA linked to both Taylor and Cooper this week. Not saying there is anything in it but, if I confirm allegiance to the Clappies this year and it all goes pear shaped you know who will never let me forget
You'll will be happy with Grimes , no bout a doubt it but Roofe .... That was a great piece of business , and not just because I'm a roofeR . Leeds look the part this summer , I'll give you that .
well done lads youve got a Sweed, no one has heard of, a Swansea reject no one else wanted,a league 2 striker and a 36 year old keeper Wow i bet Newcastle Villa Derby Brighton and the rest are crapping themselves
I can't quite believe how well things are going. I hope Massimo feels the same when the anaesthetic wears off.
