If this has been posted before, i'm sorry, but could some-one explain to an old dodderer the wrong side of retirement age and losing brain-cells at an alarming rate, how leicester City are going to conform to the new squad sizes . They must have about 60 players now, and are still after more. I keep reading on here from saints fans saying if we sign any new players we will have to get rid of some. CONFUSED.COM.
Not sure on precise numbers but a good chunk of their first team last year was in on loan. Most of their signings are to replace those I think so their little splurge isn't quite as dramatic as it appears at first.
I believe that fans' comments on here refer to the need to get rid of players to keep the equilibrium within the squad and keep the prudence in financial managment in keeping with NC plans.
Yeah, they had a whole bundle of players on loan last season. I imagine they also have some players in there that were left over from the old regime, before Sven came in, that they haven't yet got rid off but will hardly play (if at all).
I believe there is a limit on squad numbers (25?) but doesn't include under 21s. The problem is that if you loan people out they still count. Anyone got the facts on that one?
