Yes, the BBC did the right thing. My issue isn't with them, it's with the people who think Clarkson will be laughing right now and are somehow pro-him / anti Evans in all this.
I know which one i would rather go for a drink with. The other comes across as someone who needs twating right on the nose.
The BBC had no choice but to sack him. The problem was they replaced one obnoxious twat with another one. I can see why they went with Evans (cult following/likes cars) but too many people hated him. I imagine if Clarkson was the new boy it would struggle to succeed.
Should have been put to bed when they fired Clarkson, like him or not he was what the show was about.
Kinell, he got twatted for offering him a salad instead of a steak. If he'd only offered him a packet of crisps he'd have got beaten to a pulp.
For me even with Clarkson and his crew Top Gear was started to get tired, they were running of ideas. So to try and keep a similar format for me was bound to struggle.
BBC say no replacement planned for Chris Evans. However some reports suggest that Matt Le Blanc wants Jennifer Anniston to join the show and help sell it in America.
