But I get the draw of the EPL, have you ever watched a Chinese super league game? Maybe there's a billion middle aged men with Hulk on their backs.
He's just had a decent season, but I thought he looked well over weight last time I saw him. Good retirement home mind!

Margrethe Vestager, EU competition commissioner, will tell Spain to recoup tens of millions of euros of unlawful aid to seven clubs that came in the form of soft loans, tax breaks and sweetheart property deals. The European Commission decision will require Real Madrid to pay back €18.4m of state support from a complex land deal with the Madrid local authority, according to people familiar with the case. Real Madrid, who won the Uefa Champions League in May, and three other clubs — Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao and CA Osasuna — will also be forced to forgo a non-profit style tax privilege they have enjoyed since 1990
Wasn't Sam Eto'o on like 350k a week at Anzhi before he joined Chelsea. Some of these wages now a days are getting out of control. How can any normal person get up in the morning and think it's worth busting their balls that day knowing it would take them 15 years to earn that much.
Some.? It's a team game. There should be a salary cap of say 50K per week and even that is ridiculously too much, as they are one of perhaps 25 players. When Jimmy Hill blew the maximum wage open he didn't envisage today's silly money. Trouble is, the genie is out. A salary cap right now though, at some level, is a must. Just imagine how much they are being paid [I won't say earning] including all the endorsements. And don't talk to me about their limited careers. Nobody has a job for life anymore, which means everyone has to change careers, and anyone from the Premier League never needs to work again after they retire, unless they're stupid, anyway.
I really dislike all this fuss about Guardiola at City. You get this nonsense on the continent, but not usually here. It's not the second coming for heaven's sake and it's just not British.
I just had to post this after the recent managerial changes. Just look at Everton's response to this request. I think we can now confirm they are officially the most insecure football club in the football league. Personally, and I am biased but I love Saints response. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/fan-asked-92-english-clubs-8334621?
Interesting article on the Beeb about Adrian Docherty who was one of the famous Manure's "class of '92" ...Apparently he could've been the new George Best. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/northern-ireland/36502589
This is very, very sad. 27 year old non-league footballer has both legs amputated after hit and run. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-36714465
Well, Arsenal and Everton both give awful, long-wiinded replies. Man Utd can't use apostrophies. We win.
Yes I read it too. Very sad. I like his attitude though. The friend also, a footballer with another team, has bad leg injuries. The driver hasn't been found yet.
Messi sentenced to Jail for 21 months for tax fraud... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-36721892
However, they are likely to avoid jail. Under the Spanish system, prison terms under two years can be served under probation.
