I realised too late, the came pic up on an image search for Katerine Liebherr smiling...thought she looked a bit old. Anyway she is an actress...playing Kat.
Back on topic, I've never been into buying kits, can totally understand why people do and the boys have them and the eldest has already asked for it. That said I do quite like them but was secretly hoping for something a little more foreign. Someone posted a figure hugging (not my figure) kit in black I think that looked a little Parisien. That would have hot the spot. The most exciting thing now is we wont be waiting long before they're winning matches in it...
It's tough, but you'll feel better when they know. They'll come to accept you as the kind of person who wears goalkeeper shirts, and if they don't, that's their loss. I went through the same thing when I got my name and number ironed on the back of one of my shirts. My mum took it pretty well, but my dad is still getting used to the idea of a son that wears football shirts with his name and number on the back. Just live your life and don't apologise.
The Icelandic keeper had a short sleeved goalie top, but it's usually pretty rare. I doubt we will sell them. I played for a few years as a five a side goalie, cause ya know, running But I was never brave enough to actually purchase a goal keeping top. I was happy to share my hobby with like minded individuals, but didn't want my family or those less tolerant to discover my secret. If you go through with it, then you'll be a hero and inspiration to many like me, who never came out the six yard box.
I've don't recall hearing you complain about it before. But hey, I won't bother with helpful suggestions then
Glad I'm not the only one - personally I don't like walking around like a living advertising hoarding. The only kit I ever bought was the sash as we didn't put a sponsor on it that season.
The 16/17 Juventus keeper shirt is a thing of beauty Don't think I've ever seen Buffon wear a long-sleeved shirt.
Not a big fan of the kit, think the white panel bit looks like it's just been sewn on, be interesting to hear about the quality when people get their hands on it. Like the shorts so will be ordering a pair of those
Black, you've not thought this through fully. If you are concerned about what people think you can always buy and wear a massive pair of oversized Sepp Maier goalie gloves. Then you'll just look like a normal keeper walking down the street on the way to a game. People will hardly look twice.
Thanks. You've made me determined to do it. Although I think I will have to cover it up with my fabulous new white denim sleeveless jacket when I'm standing among all those ruffians in the Northam End.
