This is the worst thing about an international football tournament; you get used to games every day but when we move to the later stages there are three day gaps between matches.
Never mind it all kicks off again tomorrow; unfortunately I cannot support Wales as Portugal have discovered a new star who has signed for FC Bayern; Renato Sanches.
We then come to Thursday against 'Les Bleus'. Would have expected a victory however injuries and suspensions have made me fear a defeat.

All about Wales for me. If Coleman can keep his Wales team in France for this long leaving the lovely Charlotte :emoticon-0115-inlov at home he commands my support. Wales 3-1.
    Germany v France 2-2

I lost real interest in football a long time ago. I find the actions of these often preening primadonnas vulgar and distasteful. I have no time for them. However I loved playing the game and for a magical decade was a real fan.

But I have to say I can only find the Welsh footballer Gareth Bale admirable. The way he deports himself in this Welsh team, the way he plays, the way he is so supportive of his team-mates is an example of how anyone with talent in whatever field of endeavour should behave. I contrast him with the equally talented but far less attractive Ronaldo.

I hope all of you who have predicted a victory for Wales are correct. Not only the 1/8 of me that is Welsh (a connection with Haverfordwest I usually don't like to mention) will be cheering on Wales tonight. I want a Wales victory.

I think Ramsay is a big loss. To me he has been right up there with Bale.

Since the knockout competition started, Portugal have played 240 minutes and of that less than 20 minutes has been of any entertainment value. So I am sure that we would all like to see Wales send them home and reach the Final. If they play like they did against World No. 2 Belgium, they will do it even without Ramsey. The Prince of Wales could then go to Paris for the game just to wind up the Socialist Republicans!

    Wales 2-1 Portugal

As it is I think that the other Finalist was going to be the winner of Germany v Italy as they were the best two teams left in the bottom half of the draw. Shame it was not a better game, with Germany finally finding a way to beat Italy in a knockout competition, albeit ending their consecutive penalty streak at 22 in the process. I can see the German machine grinding out the win because of the host’s defensive frailties.

    Germany 1-0 France

I made my choices before I looked at what karlos had done and I now see that we have gone for different results and scores so I can still catch him, provided Payet does not score! In the real world, I am looking over my shoulder hoping I can hang on for second as stick has Payet too plus he must have one of the finalists as his two nominated teams meet.

Shame they do not still have that pointless Third Place Playoff between the two losers...

Since the start of the knockout stage of this tournament you QM have been whinging about Portugal sneaking through as they have. You certainly don't speak for us ALL as I dearly wish that Portugal go through tonight not least for the fact that I will benefit in cold hard cash terms!
To win one of these you have to "grow" into and during the competition and both of these teams have done that despite your refusal to take note of that on Portugals part. Wales will hugely miss their two banned players and in Ronaldo , Nani, Quaresma and the boy wonder Sanches they have match winning players aplenty.

S..t; have just started watching a two hour Poirot that I have not seen before. That's the first half of the footie on the back burner.

Glad we bought the 'boy wonder Sanches' before the tournament started!

From a neutral perspective, Portugal are the most boring team in the tournament and Wales are the dogs bollocks. I hope Wales ****ing stuff em <ok>

I hope Wales win as well. My heart says Wales, head is siding with Portugal but my god they've been dull throughout. Wouldn't hit a barn door, they'll be hoping twinkle toes Ronaldo catches fire...
