With Nolito signing for City perhaps a season loan of Iheanacho might be worth a punt?

Good job we didn't get distracted by the play off final this season so we could get our transfer business nailed promptly.

Strewth, the window has barely been open for three hours!

agree - 30K a week might have put the cat among the pigeons...Naismith to come good this season with 15 or so goals, Jerome with the same.

We may have "dodged a bullet" but another rival in this division has arguably strengthened.I wont be too disheartened until our transfer dealings are finished but it seems clear to me that other clubs in the championship are very willing to spend big money on wages and fees - I hope that doesn't leave us signing players who don't add more quality than we already have.

If we hang on to big Tim I will be thrilled even if we lose Brady.

Newcastle United sign Matt Ritchie from Bournemouth in £12m deal: http://metro.co.uk/2016/07/01/newcastle-united-sign-matt-ritchie-from-bournemouth-in-12m-deal-5978924/…
Damned good acquisition. So that's £12m on Ritchie and £10m on Gayle they've shelled out, with Townsend going the other way for circa £13m. I wonder if they get more joy out of these new guys than they did out of Townsend and Shelvey, for circa £12m each, back in January <yikes>

Ritchie is a great signing, class player - Gayle will get circa 20 goals for them I reckon.

I'd love us to take a punt on Alex Pritchard who is in a similar mould to Ritchie.

Premiership Loan is surely the only way they would go. A loan move to a Watford, Bournemouth, WBA would be perfect for him I think.

I'm really hoping that AN will unveil a 'marquee signing' in the next couple of weeks!!!
I'm pretty sure pre season starts on Monday and it would be good if at least the money we've received for Redmond was spent on an upgrade. <ok>

A few of the players I mentioned ages ago as targets I'd like to see us go for have been snapped up already. Prichard is one of the main ones who hasn't yet. Stick a 8m pound bid in today. We need are player like him really badly.

Dembele has gone to Celtic, which is annoying. Bidwell going to QPR. I didn't particularly want Fletcher, and I'm not sure on Gayle, could have been good. They were both seemingly on our shortlist, and have gone to main promotion rivals. Need to start making moves very soon!

With Leicester strengthening for a big season, do you recon there would be any chance of a loan of Gray?

IMO, Fletcher is a similar case to that of O'Neil. Bristol City were willing to offer him a longer contract and it seems the same with SW and Fletcher, who might have been useful to us this year, but less so should we gain promotion. We have enough old players already and need to bring the average age down. The test will be what strikers we do bring in this summer.

We only have it from the press that he was on our shortlist. Like the idea of a loan deal for Gray, though.

I've just seen someone write this comment on a Norwich Transfer forum. I'd be really gutted is any of this is true:

"Dont shoot the messenger reliable source tells me of an imminent triple swoop. Leon Osman, Tony Hibbert and Leon Britton will all arrive on short term deals."

Only one out of them that made me think is Britton. Good ball player, but if we end up signing him, why not try to keep O'Neil?
