Good Morning Everyone, Ashley Fletcher is signing.... For West Ham on a four year year. We can scrub that one off our wish list. Better new though.... Kyle Bartley is due to have a medical at Thorp Arch today before putting pen to paper on a one year loan deal. Who remembers Montenegro? The 23-year-old went back to Nacional in the summer of 2015 and scored 18 goals in 22 games. He looks set to finalise a move to Argentine champions Lanus in the days ahead. How come he couldn't get a game for us? Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed on his website that Leeds and Empori are close to agreeing a price for Bellusci. It is said that Leeds are holding out for £2million for their defender and that Empoli are now just £300,000 short of the asking price. Bellusci made 31 appearances for Leeds in all competitions, but the 26-year-old’s time in England has been often tarnished by poor form and off-field spats. The Italian made his loan deal from Catania permanent in 2014 and has another two years to run on his current Leeds contract.
Morning all, that is a good price for Bellusci. No surprise with Fletcher, it's nearly always the same, cross off anyone with quality who is 'pricey' and tick the freebies/loans.
Morning ristac, that would be an amazing price for Bellusci. Phil Hay has just tweeted saying its more likely to be a loan deal, but with a fee attached.
We're never gonna be able to compete if west ham are interested. One could say that it's good that we are going after these sort of caliber of players but personally I'm not sure we were ever seriously interested in him especially after we got Antonsson. Don't know too much about Bartley but Monk has worked with him before and obviously trusts him.
I dont rate Bartley, but you would think Monk knows a thing or two about the player and the position.
Evening Josh, we hardly have any striking options apart from Antonsson and Wood. We should purchase two others. We've got Antonsson. If we get Larsen, Bridcutt, Bartley and players of their pegigree, we'll have a much better team. I see that LUFC are now using Sport Science... http://www.catapultsports.com/uk/
Morning Elland and all. We seem to be signing decent calibre players so far. Acid test of course will be when they pull on the white shirt at Elland Road. But no complaints so far with how things have gone since season end. Im sure there are fans whod still want Evans in charge, Becchio and Alan Smith returning but you cant satisfy everyone
With the way things are shaping up, I reckon Monk will be using some of the kids who are signing new deals as we won't be signing anyone with a price tag of £2m+. Either Monk has a scouting network of players he has looked at whilst at Swansea and can dig up some cheap jems, who knows but he wont get big funds unless we sell the likes of Cooke
Morning All, Losing Fletcher is a shame but i did question it a little when we have Stokes & Mulhern. Surely one of them two needs make the step up now. Bartley will be a good signing. Him a Cooper should link up well. I think signing the swedish lad whos out of contract will be a good move too. Selling Bellusci will be amazing! Just need rid of Doukara and Silvestri then we are free of the muppets..
Morning Double D's, I'd like to see another centre back as well. Cooper, Bartley, Bamba and one other. Bellusci won't be coming back to ER. Stokes and Mulhern have both had their contracts renewed. Think they'll probably go out on loan...
Bucks is like a wino with a brown paper bag at every meeting. Quick slurp when nobody looks, probably scratches his nags as well. How uncouth
