Vuckic wasn't very good vs Darlington but in the last couple of games he's been good.

He's been energetic, he has decent pace, and he worked well with Ba upfront vs Leeds. Ba set him up for the goal vs Leeds. Also Vuckic brought some life to the attack. He crossed the ball into the box well and Best/Barton's header was just saved by the keeper. His movement and link up play with the others is decent. He's got the ability to score a few crackers. His shooting has been great.

I'd play that formation. Let Gosling/Ben Arfa and Haris battle for the CAM position.

 

Jose will be gone before too long so you can scratch him out that team. Cabaye and Tiote look like very defensive duo, which would be good against the likes of good teams, but think we need Gosling alongside one of them for weaker teams to give us another dimension.
Also, Vuckic has gone from your bad books, to good books in a matter of weeks. Wait a little longer before judging him. Would stick either Best up with Ba or HBA when fit behind Ba.

 

Vuckic wasn't in my bad books, he just give a bad first impression and i said he should be given more time. He's impressed me more than Gosling and has been decent recently.

 

The only upside I can see is letting Gosling and Vuckic get more game time - they've both seemed very impressive pre season and I'm very much looking forward to seeing more of them - Gosling especially - reckon he's going to have a cracking season.

Just not going to be the same with Bartoon though So much for my plan of getting him on my shirt this season...

 

I'd honestly play 4-4-2 with Ba and Ameobi up front... Thats all I can come up with..

For me to be happy come September 1st I reckon we need a one striker, one midfielder and one fullback.

eg. Erdinc, Barnetta, M'Bengue.

That would be mine. No point having Marveaux on the right with Ba upfront IMO. Cabaye can just have a free role so he can drop deep when he wants, he used to play AM for Lille anyway.

Edit: Obviously this would change when Ben Arfa's back and any further transfers in/out.

Although I might put in a keeper as well (call me old fashioned!)

 

I just copied it of Tash and then put the players in. Either Krul or Harper depending on who impresses in training/plays vs Fiorentina.

I want to see at LEAST 3 if Joey's off - A striker (Probably not Erdinc now.. Welliton? Rondon? Defoe? Probably not Defoe either...), a midfielder (Barnetta the best shout for me - doubt they'll want to pay actual MONEY though) and a LB since Jose's probably off.

Need a winger now with Joey looking like he's off, a LB depending on Jose's situation & a striker who HAS PACE. That counts Rondon out IMO.. although for a big lad he anit slow!
