Adam is looking more and more like Paul Scholes. Sadly it's his tackling rather than his passing

What was Johnson's injury? He really looks like he doesn't want to push his body yet. Looking better now, defense still worries me.

 

The balance of the team clearly still isn't there. However, some promising link up play from Downing, Henderson, Adam and Carroll. Good finish from the big man. He'll thrive when our wingers are match fit.

 

We've been starting slowly these friendlies, then we're chasing. Could be fitness and travel; could be the lack of importance, both of the game and the team selection with Kenny stressing match fitness, that's bred some complacency.

 

Any changes to second half? Had to do some work haha!

Any one else worried by the pre season form? I hope dalglish knows what he is doing from a worried Liverpool fan

 

Intensity is already much better, pressure is much better, and we are getting ourselves into better positions due to it.

 

I'm not worried about the form, it's more about fitness. But the defending for most of the goals we've conceded has been terrible.

 

best part of the match so far is when they showed the fit girl in the crowd at around 55 minutes, she was tasty

 

Spearing's twin must have played the first half as the spearing on now is everywhere and then some, getting right into these. Starting to stretch them but the service has been lacking the past few chances we have got it out wide.

When we do get the ball forward and outwide, many times it has been just been Carroll and about 4 defenders around him. Need to get more bodies in the mix, or can mix up crossing it in to pulling back top of the box, make it less predictable we are going to the big man's noggin.
