Yeah sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind! Can't quite believe (barring an injury time equaliser) the Welsh are the last team standing from these isles <yikes>

Rashford should have started instead of Sterling.

An absolute disgrace. We'll win every qualifier for the next World Cup though.

You were right about Hodgson though <laugh>. Having said that you can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig. That was truly awful. Fair play to Iceland. No one can argue with the result.

Yes. Well said Chan. No complaints. England lacked any ideas and Iceland had the best chances on the night. It's not a massive shock really, Iceland have taken some nice scalps the last 2 years.

Didi Hamann laying into the premier league here on RTE now <laugh> "selling a Skoda for a Lamborghini"

That's part of yer problem. Not playing the top teams until ye get to the major tournaments is giving ye a false sense of ability.

The players just didn't know what to do when they went behind following another Hart howler. They clearly assumed they'd never be in difficulty during the game and they just fell apart. The manager and too many players just don't have the brain, skill or just as importantly the kahunas. Anyway onto the Olympics. We're a nation of rowers and cyclists now. <laugh>

I'd also apportion some blame to the moment the commentator came out with his 'Justice for the England 11' line <doh><laugh>

Thought Rooney may have gained confidence after his pk...He had a nightmare. Kane on set pieces <yikes> he's the least technical player in the side imo. I don't get that.

Italy were excellent, especially in that 1st half. They also have a brilliant record vs Germany (never beaten) in tournament football.

Well Hodgson has gone already. Please let Hart face the media next and promise never to seek selection again. The clown doesn't learn. Remember in the last Euros he tried to psyche out Pirlo in the penalty shoot out and got his arse handed to him by the gnarly old pro. Came out tonight eyes bulging, pumped up and had an utter shocker.
