If you took the time out to watch Barnetta who you called **** earlier then you'd realise he's actually a very good player. Idiot

If Barton leaves it's on a free, you really think we will get a replacement that could fill the void of Barton? Ashley won't splash out on another class player like Joey!

Joey can say no to every club if he wants to, but if he's being allowed to leave for nothing, then it's far more likely that a top 4 club will snap him up, and he's already stated that he would leave if he had a chance to play CL football.

Although, I'm hoping that Joey stays a stubborn **** and just refuses to leave to piss MA off.

PS: Mike Ashley is a ****ing lunatic. He's willing to give up £4mill+ and another year of his top midfield playing just to get rid of him.

Its on the official NUFC website. Its true.

This is a farce. What is going on. Even Pardew cant wriggle out of this one.

We now officially have no Right Wingers at the club (Raylor is a wing back)

The club have to release a statement about the intentions!

I think we should just wait till 4PM, find out what Joey has to say. Then we can hit panic stations.

Why can I imagine Joey staying just to do this <laugh>.

And yeah it's ridiculous that the board are willing to give up £3-4 mill+

  9. ffs guys, it doesn't mean he's gone. It's basically the exact same position as before. Joey can refuse to go if he wants.

Erm Joey isn't a RW, and we have Jonas and Ben Arfa who can play there. Also have Gosling who can fill Joey's role.

I spoke to my dad on the phone to tell him about it and he suggested that nobody is willing to pay any money for him so maybe giving him a free transfer is the only way to get rid of him (and save the wages on the last year of his deal). I would like him to stay but obviously his attitude towards the top brass isn't going down well.

This to an extent. However it means that a top club is more likely to move for him as it is less of a risk.

I bet players are queuing up to play for the ongoing soap opera that is our club. Sigh.

I think Derek and Mike might be bluffing to get him to sign new terms. Wouldn't be surprised if he's still with you next year. He loves the club and deservedly so due to the fans.

I really hope the clowns running your club aren't willing to let this transpire. All the best lads!

This. I think Barton will have had enough of the people in charge of our club, and they've had enough of him. I like that he seems to care about the club, but ****ing hell, I wish he would shut the **** up. By all this Twitter ranting, he has only managed to get himself, and the club into ****! It still amazes me that the club never offered Joey a contract in the first place, because nearly every other club with logic on this planet would want to keep their best players. It shows that Mike does indeed want a stranglehold over the club, and anyone that dares stand up to him, is simply cast aside.

As people have said, Hughton, Carroll (starting to believe his story now), Nolan, and Barton have all gone. While Jose, is also on the verge leaving too! And each of the players (even Carroll) had a strong, strong influence. While Hughton, was getting too powerful, and popular for Mike.

Yes, I do agree with some of his plans, but now this whole ****ing fiasco really is starting to boil my ****ing piss. When I found out about this, my heart sunk, and then straight away, a wave of anger took over.

As much as fans deny it, Newcastle United are an important club, and they ARE one of the biggest in the country. And, we're now nothing more than a laughing stock. Sad really
