    This one is fantastic.

There are loads of trains from either Euston to New Street, or Marylebone to Moor Street between £5.50-£7.50 singles.

New Street to Bescot runs 27 and 57 past the hour, with the return being 4 and 34 past the hour, the fare on the day is £3.60 return.

    All prices before railcard discounts.

Thanks very much - have just booked from Marylebone.

I remember a few years back heading for Walsall, only to hear that the game had been called off en route due to a frozen pitch. I went to Villa Park instead that day, as Villa were playing Blackburn in the FA Cup, and I saw a fair few other Charlton fans there who'd done the same.

All these early-season away days really are bringing home the reality of League 1... Bury, Walsall, Scunthorpe, Fleetwood. Thanks Roland.

Yeah I did that as well. I f****** hate Walsall after that.

They had a pitch inspection passed at 9.30 and then decided to have another one at 12.30 ffs.

We were in a boozer in Walsall at the time of the inspection so with pre-booked tickets(as usual) decided to do the cliff hanger that was Villa v Blackburn!
