    one of 4 possibilities
    offered/signed a contract?
    Pushed?
    Leaving on his own accord?
same old **** ("im here until my contract runs out blah blah blah")?

It'll probably be his final move in this twitter saga which from the start was about turning the fans against the board after his contract offer went away.

Why the club have set about creating this unhealthy situation with Barton I'll never know. We're run by coco and friends.

I think it is quite refreshing to see that it isn't only the fans who think the running of the club is a disgrace. Barton posting what he does actually confirms it.

Judging by what he's been putting up recently - I don't think it's gonna be good news...

Nah he's probably seen sense and realised for the sake of his career he needs to move on. There'll have been offers, he'll have options. No point in staying at our tin pot outfit, where there is no trust and a poor envrionment to work in.

me either,it's like he's on a one man mission to de-rail our season before it's even started. We all hate ashley and want him out but unfortunately he ain't going nowhere soon and we know players get frustrated but is this doing us any good?
what must the new guys be thinking he needs to shut the **** up think how he was supported when in jail and roll his sleeves up and play his heart out and keep his thoughts to himself.

I think it's refreshing to see a player with half a brain speak his mind, but the overall effect of this on team morale could be a negative one. It's apparent a few of our 'big players' have been unhappy and I'm worried of the impact on the new players. I just hope the likes of Vuckic and Gosling see this as their time to step up and prove themselves.
    Goodbye Joey!

He'll have options yes, and I must say that he deserves better treatment than what he's getting at the minute (club board, of course, not fans or anything like..). I can't pretend I won't be disappointed if he leaves this summer though - after all his talk of leaving at the end of his contract. I'm expecting him to leave NEXT summer on a free. As I say, I'll be sorely disappointed if he leaves this summer.

I would too but he'd be mad to stay if you take the emotion out of it. We're a shambles.

For everyone's sanity/sake it'll probably be his final (for now) sign off from Twitter.

  18. I don't think he'll be leaving the club now, he's been saying for ages that he's not being sold and he's staying at the club.

I think he's in talks with Ashley and the club right now and 4pm will be the final decision

He needs to get over himself. I attended the Leeds game yesterday and watched our players arse about the pitch for the most part and all I could think was 'you get paid literally thousands a week to mess up like this'. It is an utter joke and totally sickening. I think Joey is completely removed from reality . Like many other fans, after mortgage/bills I have about £15 a day to live off and I still save to go to the occassional match to watch these overpaid players canter around the pitch. These players don't know they've been born, they really don't.

If you're going to whistle blow against your employers, do it properly. Otherwise, be bloody grateful for the life that's been offered to you despite your regular cock ups and get your head down.
