Some of Rooney's passing and crosses were terrible. Complete opposite of the excellent Spain v Italy game this afternoon. where both teams played with a purpose. Do you reckon we should go for a decent foreign manager/coach next time ?
I don't know man, I think we have some decent young players but they're not being used correctly. We looked like a decent counter attacking team during qualifying. Something I didn't expect from England but we were effective at it. Didn't see any of that in the four games played in France. Slow passing, no movement of players in front of the ball. It looked at times like some players were strolling about the pitch. Nobody made selfless runs to create space for someone else and it looked like most of them wanted to just do it themselves and be the hero. No better now than we were in Brazil a couple of years ago.
