Now we go over to the German, Italy France side of the tournament, and most likely get Portugal In the last 16, up and down with this manager and team. Not beating a poor Russian team has cost us now.

What we need is someone like Defoe who can score.

I wouldn't mind if you occasionally started positive threads, but you only start a thread to moan.

Don't get me wrong. I agree with you in this instance. Just start positive threads once in a while.

You spelled **** wrong there Upper Deck.

    And I didn't say I didn't like him so don't assume that I don't.

He's a big grown up lad as well, and well able to fight his own corner.

Schoolboy error number 1 - Not taking Defoe
Schoolboy error number 2 - Playing Wiltshire and Jordan - should have kept the same team that finished against Wales, get in front then rest 1 or 2 towards the end..
Yes probably in the hardest side of the draw as in France, I think Germany and italy are beatable.
Other side of the draw is Spain, most likely winners.
Anything can happen so chins up lads.

Looking at the players body language now and comparing it with how they looked 6 months ago, I get the impression they are somewhat confused and not sure what the manager wants from them. We seem to be very pedestrian and take an age to build up any form of attack, surely we should play with a bit more pace and let the opposition try to keep up with us instead of us constantly adapting our game to suit the opposition way of playing.

Vardy is out of his depth, Kane looks knackered, Wiltshere, Sterling, and Milner have all failed miserably, the manager looks lost and bewildered the team slow and predictable. On a brighter more possitive note, the Welsh bubble is about to burst. <laugh>.

We certainly lack a proven international goalscorer in the striker department with international composure - but we need to get a bit lucky now.
Also why not give Rashford a try starting or from bench

Has Roy ever heard of momentum ????? It's what tournament football is all about.
When you win a game keep the 'good feeling' going by keeping the side together.
Does he think Leicester would have won the league if they'd given players rest and chop & changed???
Changing half the side was a monumental **** up.. The 1st team (defenders especially!) are barely world beaters; the rest of the 'squad' players are woefully short.
Even more annoying to me is listening to the ****e that comes out of managers/players & pundits mouths.
How can anyone seriously say we 'bossed' & 'controlled' games.. Passing a ball around your own half doesn't mean you are in control of a game... It means you 'have' the ball but are totally 'clueless' of what to do with it.
Ask Wales... Being 3-0 up IS being in control of a game!

Defoe would have been a better option

Glen Oddle? has got to be the benchmark, I cant believe he is watching the game, clueless does not do him justice, he is what the mut button was invented for.

I've got a feeling we might do the bigger teams you know.

The likes of France won't go parking buses against England... so if we can get through our next game against whoever we play, I think we could see some big improvements when we actually have some space to play in.

Hodgson has us playing one way, because we've had all the possession but against better teams we have to relinquish some of that and that'll play right into the hands of players like Vardy, Sterling and Kane.

    I hope.
