I wasn't aware of the origin of the word Quisling but I knew that the word means someone who helps your enemy- in this case Everton. I guess anyone looking the word up and seeing a reference to the man might get the idea that I in some way was equating RK leaving with genocide which is the last thing I would do. Whatever. I will change the title if it's not liked.
There is the odd day when she doesn't come online, but yeah, one gets concerned as it isn't that often she's away without saying.
Maybe her PC is having a temperamental day again and she's waiting for that nice young technician to arrive to sort it out? Or the thunderstorm has cut off the IOW from the mainland. I'm sure no one would notice but I'm off to the Loire in a camper van on Tuesday till July 4. Hoping that we'll have announced a new manager by then! Don't think I'll have much internet so I'll catch up on return Hope you find Fran soon!!
Camper Van.! Sounds nice. I'm supposed to be going to Cornwall in a VW T4 some time this summer, if the planets align.
Just been watching an address that Obama has given as the latest funerals have been taking place as part of the Orlando shooting, and he's talking about the quality of liberty not being raised because people are allowed to own firearms. And he tried to repeat the message he made by saying it in another way, but he stopped halfway through, for a huge pause before carrying on. And in that moment I felt he was thinking, don't these people get it even now.??? I really feel sorry for him because I don't think Americans will ever get it. They could wipe each other out and they still wouldn't get it.
I like the concern on this board - someone who posts very regularly doesn't post at the usual time and it's the internet equivalent of a big pile of old mail blocking the door and a weeks worth of milk turning to yogurt on the doorstep. ....seriously though, it's nice to see that people care about others
Cheers, Fats! Yeah - getting the ferry from Newhaven on Tuesday and then driving down. Plan to just wander around down there and find some decent places to stay for a day or two. Plenty of books and looking forward to some wine and cheese .....
It reminds me of the Rich Hall monologue where he likes the fact in Britain that we can laugh at ourselves and give and take banter where in the US you're gonna get shot.
