The only problem with England yesterday was Sterling was **** and Kane is totally out of form - don't like Woy but good decision to change both at half time and the rest is history - main lesson from yesterday, don't go mental when Sturridge scored in a Welsh pub

It's not in the same league as Scholes, who always made me cringe when he went in for a tackle, but there was deffo at least one point in the Wales game he lost the ball and looked quite pissed off, in fact wasn't it how Bale got his free kick? A foul by Rooney on Robson-Kanu after losing the ball?

Reading this back, it sounds like I'm being really harsh on Rooney and suggesting he loses the ball a lot, but I don't mean to be and he doesn't. I just think when he is dispossessed, it's like he gets the hump and charges back in.

Agreed about his passing, zero interceptions there, and pin point accuracy, similar to the greats such as Beckham, Barmby and Huddlestone.

You could say that about any player. But if the opposition are worrying about him then they're leaving someone else with more space.

I played 45 minutes in a full game on a full pitch a couple of weeks ago (I'm only 48 though)
Nearly killed me, but I loved it (although chasing kids round in their 20's does make you realise that you're definitely not as fast as you used to be!) had to leave at half time as I had to get to an appointment...probably for best!

The vets team would be a good idea, but I finally gave up football (5 a side) about five years ago. I had knee problems. Whenever the knee cleared upid make a comeback, only for the knee to go again (I have a small amount of sympathy for Bullard in this respect).

Walking football just wouldn't satisfy. I've been considering swimming for fitness, for this last couple of years, but so far never got round to it.

Hopefully Roy will now see what everyone else can (there will always be exceptions) which is that Sterling currently is not good enough - he has absolutely no end product, admittedly he can run fast in a straight line although seldom whilst controlling a ball, when he reaches either the touchline or opposition he seldom knows what to do, he rarely scores, and he can't pass a ball further than 5 yards to a team member. In fairness this could be because he's not fit (he appears to be good enough to play for Liverpool, and well enough for Man City to want him) so maybe rest him and have him as an impact substitute when the opposition are knackered and we need an injection of pace or someone to upset the opposition balance.

I thought the way Rooney passed the ball from one wing to the other and straight into touch was superb.
The needless foul and free kick that led to Bale scoring was a touch of class too.
    Couldn't lace Huddleston's boots.

His scoring record suggests you may well have a point. He's only scored in excess of 300 professional goals.

Could probably spell his name, though. No, on second thoughts, probably not.
