Sturridge made the difference imo, he was lively, up until his introduction England have been slow and methodical. Wales made mistake in not pressuring Walker, he looks good coming forwards but is woeful at the back. the only Trotter who looks okay is Rose.

Sturridge showed how (when fit) he is far superior to Kane, in all aspects of the game.

European teams must be watching thinking 'wtf is all this Harry Kane fuss about?'. I bet the CL teams are looking forward to facing him.... that's if he even touches the ball #lazy

Ok, cut the wums, Sky! A fit and rested Kane is every bit as good as Sturridge. And he's fit far more of the time!...

Look. I would rather have Kane in my team than Sturridge.

However, that's purely because at best you get half a season out of Sturridge. Sturridge is the better player though, no question in my (and most pundits around) eyes.

A fit Sturridge that never gets injured is one of the best strikers in world football. Simple as that. <ok>

I don't rate him that highly, personally. He's good, but not world class, IMO. Plus, he's a lazy bastard. Tracking back and helping out defensively are not in his repertoire....

A striker shouldn't have to defend much. He'll defend from the front that's all. He needs to be in and around the box to put efforts away - which he does at an incredible rate GPG.

Kane is very good. Not at Sturridge's level when in peak fitness.

    Even Stan agrees ffs.

Can you do that dance move?

Don't even attempt to say you haven't tried it in your home when alone...

    Or is that just me?

I did it the other day.

I was telling Stan Jnr that one day Sturridge will watch highlights of his career and realise that he looked like a **** after each and every one of his goals. I did the ****ish dance whilst lecturing Stan Jnr.

    Beautiful.

That's a moment Jnr will cherish for ever. Lovely moment.

I'm getting quite good at it now tbh. Just a little more practice and I'll be doing it at the Working Man's Club next time HIAG and Simply Dead are playing.

That's "FossEeeeee" ..... not Slippy G ... we only bottle things around here by way of a 10 point gap <laugh> ... and I have nothing against scousers ... I have worked for over 30 years with only a half-day off sick ... so I'm actually supporting a good proportion of them through the tax system ... yours won't be the only mobility scooter I've funded :)

I don;t think Sturridge is lazy when he's on the pitch, the trouble is keeping him there game after game, that said, after seeing how Micheal Owen and Torres ended up by playing with knocks, and how my legs feel these days, I can't really blame Sturridge for not wanting to play if he has a slight doubt over his fitness.

Sturridge is so much more than Kane in several ways
    More days off
    Bigger ego
    More wages

However not more goals in the last two seasons

  18. Was there really any need to bring me into this, Sky? There I was, quietly enjoying a nice catch-up, and all of a sudden I find myself dragged into something!

    #138
  19. Yes, because is going to have two blinding seasons in a row and win the Golden Boot!
    <doh>

If you carry on like this I'll be forced to call the cops.
