Probably benefited NUFC that Sterling is there and not Townsend. Townsend would/could have scored at least one in the tournament and would be looking better.
Nailed on that Sterling would miss a sitter that Vardy would have had in the back of the net without any problem, Woy is just a dickhead, Townsend would have made a big difference as well.
Need to get Vardy on for Sterling and work the ball quicker, so many times we could look to break but we end up playing backwards or sideways. Joe Hart ffs Scrappy game but we got there in the end. Thought Rooney made too many mistakes first half but second half he dragged us back into it. Substitutions all made an impact, well done Woy
Woy is ****ing us over here with his beligerance - he needs to be braver. Vardy and Sturridge clearly should have started over Kane and Sterling. I'd like to see Barkley too from the bench. He drives past people and can pick a pass. Given a bit of freedom coming on for say Lallana he could make a difference.
It's hard to understand why Vardy doesn't start. Perhaps he's not considered to have been an in-form striker last season. It's either that or that he's not seen as sexy enough to sell lots of replica England shirts by the FA.
