    4.20 MAX DYNAMITE 9/1 e/w
What's not to like? Best trainer in the business teaming up with the top jockey around. Went each-way as O'Briens jolly looks to be another Yeats but Moores not riding well let's be honest here chaps and he did give Kingfisher a stinker in this last year when that horse looked incredibly unlucky. Hopefully the ground dries out for Max but I recall seeing more rain forecast. If that develops and it's an absolute slog it wouldn't suit him and I'm not 100% sure he'd see it out that well in that case.

Don't fancy too much tomorrow, First race is tough, Peace Envoy is a very good horse and should go close, but Prince of Lir for Robert Cowell looked like a serious horse on debut the other week. Both about 10/1 so small bets on both. Long Island South for O'Brien/Moore should go close too at 9s in the 3 05.

    Anyway apart from that,

    5pm Ascot

Was told on Monday by my cousin who's good friends with the owners nephew, that Fighting Temeraire is very very well regarded at home and long been thought of as a group horse in the making, and it's expected to win this handicap tomorrow. Now as me the doom and gloom merchant anytime i get a bit of info i try and convince myself why it won't win so here i go again lol, this is a 30 horse race, and anything can happen and I would imagine there's 4-5 horses in this race that will end up being good enough for group company, and 12/1 in a 30 horse race really isn't great value. BUT Positives time, Fighting Temeraire has like Librisa Breeze today, snuck in on a really low weight, gets weight from pretty much all, Ivory is in absolutely tremendous form at the moment, and considering how well it's apparently regarded, and the fact Dean said it was his best chance last week @ Epsom in the interview after Caspian win, I'm hoping that it will be able to go one better than Librisa Breeze today and win tomorrow.

Anyway good luck to all and roll on day 3!

What a race the Brittania is, will need to be a group horse to win it, one of the best 3yo handicaps ive seen.

In the Tercentenary Stakes (3:05), I will assume that Abdon is favoured over his Newmarket conqueror Hawkbill purely on the grounds that he ran well on soft ground as a two-year-old whilst the Godolphin colt has only won on good to soft or standard. I had expected Blue De Vega to be vying for favouritism because he is very well regarded even though he was disappointing when third in the Irish Guineas; and he is the top-rated runner here. Royal Artillery had a big reputation in the spring (was 20/1 for the Guineas) but certainly did not show much sign of Classic ability at Sandown; however, it would be unwise to right him off after just two races. If something wins by half a dozen lengths, it will undoubtedly be hailed as the next wonder horse like The Gurkha...

Whilst Architecture is the highest rated runner in the Ribblesdale Stakes (3:40), this used to have a terrible reputation for horses coming looking for Oaks consolation. Whilst she may be lightly raced, her style of racing will hardly be suited to conditions at Ascot as being near to the pace is better advised that coming from the rear. Interesting that Even Song re-opposes Chicadoro, who finished in front of her when they chased home Swiss Range at Newmarket. Queen’s Trust was beaten favourite when We Are Ninety won at Newbury and it would be a topical winner if the latter, Hugo Palmer’s second string, obliged in front of Her Maj. With two or three in here that like to go from the front, they may get strung out and an outsider (like front runners Rocaverde and Shall We) winning would not surprise me.

The Gold Cup is going to be some slog. I see that Willie Mullins, Peter Niven and David Pipe have runners. No sign of the King of the County Set, though – has he gone on holiday to Skegness?

    Good luck one and all...

    3.05 Blue De Vega 5/1
His third in the Irish Guineas sets a clear standard here. He will handle the ground, step up in trip is perfect for him and can defy a four pound penalty. Abdon and Hawkbill's listed race at Newmarket looks pretty decent.

    3.40 Even Song 4/1
She looks to have been layed out for this having skipped the oaks. I cant see Architecture running to the same level she did against Minding.

    5.00 Pacodali 50/1 ew
He is still a maiden but has some nice form. He finished second on his second start behind Radiantly. He then finished fifth in a strong maiden at the curragh which included Shamreen, Claudio Monteverdi and Bravery, several other winners have come out of that race. He showed he has progressed by finishing a length behind Blue De Vega and three lenghts off Awtaad in a listed race in May. Off a mark of 96 this could be tough for but he should out run his odds and is worth a dabble each way.

Luke Morris is at Ascot, then Chelmsford and then Lingfield.

Here's an interesting little treble, well interesting to me anyway :emoticon-0126-nerd:

    Ascot 2.30 Prince of Lir
    Chelmsford 4.45 St Michel
    Lingfield 7.50 All the Rage

Might have a go at that.

the 5.00 is fascinating and I was leaning towards the Fighting Temeraire as well but just as Librisa Breeze got pipped by a Godolphin horse yesterday I think Folkswood can follow Portage into the winners enclosure today.

other than that I expect a few Dettori v Moore battles today but unsure who will come out on top!
