When Woy was interviewed on Radio 4's 'Today' programme, he spoke with passion. (Yeah, that's right...did he hell)
I'd drop Kane for Vardy and I'd be tempted to stick Rashford in for Sterling, but there's no way Roy will. The **** him.
I would understand dropping Kane, not out of ability because I think he's total class, he just looked ****ed against Russia to me.
Exactly, he's obviously a good player, but he was ****e against Russia and we've another perfectly good option on the bench. I also think Vardy better suits today's game, Wales will be well up for this one and Vardy's far more likely to battle and cause them problems.
In the good old days coming up against a team with just one good player would have been less of a problem. He'd have been systematically targeted by half a dozen opponents and been reduced to the walking wounded.
Sterling has had an absolutely crap season, was next to useless in the game against the Ruskies; whatever happened to only selecting players in form! Don't get me wrong, he's a young kid who has shown fantastic potential, but we need someone to do a job today!
Sturridge or Rashford for Sterling hopefully. Trouble is if Woy won't even bring Vardy on as a sub then why the hell has he taken Rashford to the Euros
Sterling shouldn't start. Sterling can't start. But Sterling will start. That is the way of things with the omnishambles of a manager in charge.
I trust Roy to get this seen through. He was good enough to beat the world champions. he has a win of 60.38% which is comparable to Sir Alex only 59.61%
both are true, SAF only managed at club level. The argument could be made that it is harder to manage at an international level cos you have to manage a team made of the best players at your disposal against other managers.
