I agree. If Redmond is seen as a squad player and we add in one more attacking player, and keep both Mane and Tadic I'll be very happy with that.

Transfer fees will be up again this year folks... the funds are sloshing around (for all teams) and so those numbers will increase.

Now this is a proper transfer rumour....Polish player Kaputska Bartosz that we are supposed to be interested in. Has everything....well dodgy translations at least. :)

    - Could handle. Motorized - it is a horse. In each test wydolnościowym you perform best. I've heard of Southampton and I think it's a good place. Many young fun to be developed there, and today playing in the Premier League's leading clubs. For now, however, the most important is the Euro - emphasizes Zielinski. And he adds that none of the other players will not leave this summer Krakow

It seems strange that we are on the cusp of signing a new player and nobody really knows what's happening with regards to our manager. I don't know about you but if I was signing for a new club I would want to know who my manager was going to be.

I think work probably continues behind the scenes...collecting reports etc...but otherwise most is on hold. It is slightly possible that we would sign a player we really wanted if the managerial position drags on. As for the player, the manager would be a selling point, but I don't think it is impossible to sign someone if they are eager to come to a club and the EPL....depends on competition. I hope we get the manager soon so that the summer programme of signings and games can continue. In this case, the Euro 2016 is a distraction because the players will be missing for some time instead of working with the new manager.

P.s. Love to know where the many young fun is in Southampton...I expect a few locals would be interested in that. :)

Perhaps our new manager has already given the nod to this one? I mean, if Everton can negotiate a contract with a manager to whom they were prohibited from talking, I can see it being very easy to have a hypothetical conversation on the phone along the lines of "if you were managing Saints would Redmond be the sort of player we should sign ;)"

Also, if we had been negotiating for Redmond with Judas assumed to be still here we might have to make a decision or risk the player going elsewhere.

I'm still hopeful of FDB....I know his agent denied it, but in modern morality that is as good as confirming it. #cynical

I believe Luke Shaw agreed to sign for David Moyes originally and was still happy to sign before LVG was appointed.

I would be surprised if any transfers are officially completed prior to the new man arriving, but Redmond is very much a one for the future signing, so doubt a new manager would say no.

Unless he's with Koeman, otherwise God knows how long it'll be.

Not exactly overwhelmed by the thought of Redmond possibly joining us. He could prove me wrong but he strikes me as a "nearly" player, as in he nearly scored, or he nearly got that cross in perfectly. I hope that if he does sign, it is because the coaching staff think he is full of untapped potential rather than just a journeyman who will bulk the squad out.

If he was 26/27 I'd agree, however he's 22 so he's got time.

Harsh to be called a journeyman at 22. Pretty sure he's only had 2 clubs also. Don't think he'd be a bad signing, just needs to be a bit more consistent, scores pretty regularly for Norwich/England u21's for a winger

Don't think we do that any more. We may get the odd blip or player that doesn't fit...it isn't an exact science...but we buy class players now. If true, Redmond has been selected as the type of player we want and at least should fit in quicker than a foreign signing.
