Round them up, deport them the same day into the hands of the UK police, I am sure there is some offence they can be charged with. I do not want them here thank you.

Trouble we have such a bad reputation any little sign of trouble will bring out a strong reaction from the local police.

Singing about ISIS isn't exactly helpful..

Worry for the FA must be that I thought all the tickets had to be brought by official England fan members..

One suspect these guys aren't even thinking about going to the game..

The last thing we need is trouble inside the ground then UEFA will act.

As they like having their top off, when convicted sentence them to 100 lashes in the centre circle to provide half time entertainment!

"Nice to know that if they leave the EU we will be able to stop any English fans travelling to create havoc which we have to pay for"

"Not fair I know, but the only way to stop this is to send the teams home and not let them play in the tournaments"

French fans comments after more troubles this afternoon.

There seems to be benefits all round for Brexit, we do not want undesirables from Europe and they should be able to stop our rubbish from entering Europe.

    You know it makes sense.

Despite what seems extreme provocation from Russian hoolies there isn't much excuse.

Time and again I see the same sad stereotypes. Fat, topless (really?), pasty middle-aged men with moobs and the mentality of teenagers. Unable to hold their drink despite those large guts. They deserve nothing more than disparagement and scorn. Muppets.

Clearly from some of the images I have seen there was provocation and quite nasty too..... but it happens all to often with England fans.

I sympathize with those innocently caught up in it..

French police tactics and intelligence useless...

(Is the troll trolling again? <doh>)

    ...
Seriously:it does seem there is some serious provocation going on.

I see some Northern Irish fans were attacked in Nice too by what they are calling 'French Hooligans'. One really has to question what the French Police are up too.

No seeming intel. on anything going on. No policing in the stadium etc etc

I have friends who were at the game and in the city beforehand. Some of them saw absolutely no trouble and were just hanging out. Others (the sort that would never ever cause any trouble) were teargassed. I have no doubt though there were some idiot England fans just boozing away and looking for a fight to start. From some reports I read the Russian fans in the stadium were stone cold sober and had brought in gum shields, MMA gloves and had wrapped their heads in scarves so they couldn't be identified. Also they brought in flares. Its worrying if one could bring in a flair undetected, what else one could bring in if you had even worse aims (especially given the attack on the Stade de France last year).

The next world cup is in Russia. I am sure their police will be restrained and they will have solved their hooligan problem by then.....

    Fromm the BBC:

Despite criticism from Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko, some public figures in Russia have condoned and even encouraged the violence.

Igor Lebedev, a Russian Football Union (RFU) official and MP from the populist Liberal Democratic party, tweeted that there was "nothing wrong with fans fighting". He told them to "keep up the good work".

Meanwhile, radio journalist and former RFU spokesman Andrei Malosolov wrote a lengthy blog post on the "Russian fans' victory at Marseille port", praising the ultras' fitness levels and "stylish" look, as well as their ability to fight.

"Are the Russians not worthy of respect for their fearlessness?" he said, adding that "at the very least, they gave a kicking to citizens of a country that is, both historically and geopolitically, Russia's greatest enemy".
    ...

It does tell us a lot about the Russian mentality....... they think nothing of collateral damage for their own ends.... Chechyna, Georgia, Syria etc etc.

    Def not a collaborative approach.

And as an aside Putin is the only world leader supporting BREXIT <yikes> ... says it all really...
