What are your thoughts on the Webster/Clarke deal Wooperts? I hope we put a sell on clause in the deal because we paid for your lad, gave you ours for nowt and he could turn into a half million asset for you. He'll get the game time to improve.
Very sorry to see Adam Webster leave, San Diego, but he deserves an opportunity to prove himself at a higher level. He is a very talented youngster at centre half, and reads the game so well. He likes playing the ball out of defence and has plenty of pace. Not nearly so good at full back though. I like Matt Clarke - he fitted in immediately for us, and appears to have an old head on young shoulders. Thanks for letting us have him on a free transfer !! I'm hoping we have a sell on clause for Adam Webster, personally, for when you sell him on to a Premiership team
Russia deserved nothing from the game whatsoever We played well, created so many goal scoring chances, but should have taken more of them. Kyle Walker was my man of the match - he was superb as an attacking right back.
Walker for me as well Wooperts. Thought we were **** to be honest. Another case of us not having the guile to unlock a defensive team, same old story. Wales was a better game. Can't understand why Kane is on dead balls. He was taking from both corners, what's that all about? Sterling was terrible and lucky to come out for the second half in my opinion. I can see you making money off Clarke as well Wooperts. A good deal for you, money from Webster and a free player who could also net you some dough in a couple years. I've heard that Adam is a ball player, something we need badly but many fans don't have the confidence that Mick won't coach it all out of him with his hoof it every time philosophy. Knowing Mick he'll probably stick him at RB and move Chambers inside
Have to add, good goal from Dier Rooney should never have taken the other free kick, wrong side. I'm really not expecting much from this tournament other than the experience gained.
