It appears that Landon Donovan will be taking charge at the Liberty next season working alongside Huw Jenkins.

It could have been worse it could have been Lonnie .

He was the face of US football for a while so could be more for the commercial side than the footballing side of the business (Thats what we've become)

So much for Huw staying in charge. Haven't had the club a week and they've brought their own man in.

I expect Huw to be gone by the end od next season with LD taking full control of Huws position.

Am I the only thinking this is a good thing? Kaplan & Levien don't profess to being experts in "soccer" but are in business. They have fronted Donovan who was always a very elegant player to be their man on the board and help guide things...this strikes me a sensible move, no?

At least let's give all this a chance....??

Got no probs with Donovan , calling out Beckham during his " Season of the Switch " on loan to AC Milan might bode well for getting Jenkin's in line .

Not sure. I liked him as a player but he knows **** all about us as a Club or us as fans. Practically nothing about our journey or what we've been through. He may do well but you have to admit HJ understands all those things. We'll see.

I have no issue with Huw staying at the club, I just don't want him picking the players we should buy.

Not sure that bit is correct, from what I understand he will be here in an Ambassadorial roll, and to be honest, I always thought he was a very talented player, and has a high profile in the states, he will get the attention of the USA market on board, all things Swansea City, good move as I see it............<ok>
