Do you think that Dyche has bought the right players?

  1. None of them are the Right Players

  2. 1-2 of them are right

  3. 3-4 of them are right

  4. All of them are right but need time to gel together

  5. All of them are right but more players need to be brought

  6. All of them are right

They look like journeymen really-- the supporting cast in a play that so far lacks a star. If they have come to our attention through the "Stephenson process" of being tracked and assessed over a period, and have met all the criteria we set for new recruits, then there may be more to some of them than meets the eye--Forsyth for example. If Dyche has acted opportunistically to availability and cost, then they look like the basis of an adequate survival team , but not one that can challenge the dozen or so very good teams in this division. I think they give us more depth in the squad, and some experience that will be useful at hard moments in the season, but none looks like a "match winner"--or even someone we are going to develop for a big sell-on fee.

Thinking along the same lines as Roger68 - I can understand why he has brought in the likes of Yeates and Atkinson when we have such a young and inexperienced squad. I suppose I am more concerned that we might end up playing percentage football, stopping other teams play and hoping that if we give Iwelumo enough ball then eventually we will nick one. I think the signings are sensible and add some physical strength but we will have to wait and see what style of football we will be playing this season - I just hope that Sean has a big plan.
Craig Forsyth is the most interesting signing for me.
